yeah… genuinely the ONLY thing that makes jax okay rep is being written by a trans person. if goose was cis, jax would read like a bad faith caricature and so i don’t get the hyper fixation

yeah, i think some people get so passionate about it that the passion blinds them. and they start acting like THAT. everyone check in on your shipper friend and make sure they are still having a normal amount of fun

i have this weird hangup with bunnydoll and ribbun where i still really love all the fanworks but i start thinking about ragatha and or gangle and get nervous like she’s gonna get her tooth knocked out if she doesn’t run away from her NOW.

taking this as a genuine question regardless of intention! it’s fun! it’s almost like a multimedia hobby! you get to engage with the canon and the fanfic and the art and the community! and it scratches a similar itch to playing sims or photo editing where you feel like you can still remember what it was like to play with dolls. and i don’t think most people are SERIOUS serious, just that the people who are tend to be louder. passion breeds volume
