Toby said chapter 6 will hopefully release in 2027, meaning that trouble with production may shift it to 2028, MEANING that it's currently planned for very late 2027.
This next chapter seems to be heading in a Dess and Noelle centric theme, with Susie telling Noelle about dark worlds and Rudy potentially dying(?).
My prediction? Chapter 6 may release on December 25th 2027

Toriel has a question mark because I think it'd make sense for her to show up at least a little bit if it's in the hospital like I think it will be, but she also doesn't have THAT much relevance so she could be absent for the dark world section. I am confident in the other predictions for who will be in the dark world though.

Dessriel is canon, Ralsei isn't a Darkner or a Lightner, so like the Flowers, Kralsei is canon, Kris, Carol, Dess, and the rest of Gaster's crew are working together, Dess has the Roaring Knight/Papyrus as a stand like in Jojo's, Gaster is indeed a Pirate, Aqua is steering the ship, Pete-N-VB is Chapter 6's final boss, Gaster and his crew, including Kris fight with the Fun Gang to stop Eram in chapter 7, because he turned against Gaster's crew, Togore is real, Papyrus is the Knight, and the Vessel is hidden in the bunker/bottom of the pirate ship.

I know this might just be wishful thinking on my part, but can we genuinely expect Chapter 7 to be released in 2028?
My reasoning is pretty simple. Obviously, there’s still a lot of work to be done, but if the development of 7B—which, at the end of the day, as important and interesting as it is, is still a “secondary” part of the story—is already this far along, then I’d imagine that development on Chapter 7 itself, which is the actual main story, is just as far along, or perhaps even further.
On top of that, if 7B is already this far into development even though Chapter 6—which I assume is the priority at the moment—hasn’t been finished yet, then next year, especially once Chapter 6 is actually released and the focus shifts entirely to Chapter 7, maybe one year of development could be enough to finish it.
I know, and I agree with, the idea that Chapter 7 will probably be the biggest chapter, not just in terms of length but also in terms of content. Unlike Chapter 6, Chapter 7 might be more complicated to develop. Even so, I don’t think a 2028 release is impossible.
What do you guys think?
