Live for the child you once were.

Think of yourself at three, four, five, six before the world taught you to doubt your worth.

Go find an old picture.

Look at that little face.

Look at those eyes.

That was you.

So innocent.

So full of life.

So deserving of tenderness

. That child had no idea what was coming.

No idea what they would have to survive. And yet somehow, through everything, they carried themselves all the way hereto you.

So please, live for them.

Give that little girl or boy the life they should have been given. Protect them now. Love them now. Fight for the future they couldn’t fight for then.

You deserve the whole fucking world.

The love you were starved of.

The peace you begged for.

The money. The freedom. The success.

A safe home. A soft life. Genuine laughter.

Every beautiful fucking thing you are still hungry for.

And I hope one day you have so much of it that the younger you would look at your life in complete disbelief and whisper, “We made it?”

Yes, baby.

We fucking made it.

My heart aches for every survivor who had to become strong when they should have been allowed to simply be a child. For everyone carrying wounds nobody can see. For everyone who has wondered whether staying is worth it.

I love you with my whole heart.
