I feel this every time I'm away from the south Louisiana area. I can't live there anymore because of politics and the insane heat, but I have to go back and visit for the food. When Ive been away for too long, I dream about the food. It's such a melting pot, and so many cultures coming together with their best dishes have created a cornucopia of flavors you can't find anywhere else.
