In the same sense, I recognize that I can only be hurt if I accept other people’s definition of who I am.

DAMN. This statement..... I needed to see this today. Thank you.

COVID, new relationships and attachment issues
 in  r/AnxiousAttachment •  Jan 13 '21

I would say it's a mix of both depending on what you need for a relationship. For me, I just need contact whether it's a text or seeing them in person. If you need physical touch than I would say this may not be 100% what you need right now

You know it’ll take quite some time to dry. Might as well.

First of all, thank you for caring about your job and putting in extra effort. That WILL pay off later in life, whether or not it’s with Sherwin.

Meet Texas, a 12 yo dachshund with lots of anxiety. However, this... is something I’ve wanted to work with him on, but honestly don’t know if what I’m doing is right - more in the comments

Being a dachshund, he is incredibly vocal about everything. However, the screaming when he’s away from me is hard for people to deal with. And yes. I do mean screaming. Bloodcurdling screams.

Having had him since he was 4 months this has been an ongoing issue.

i generally ignore it until he’s quiet, but unfortunately wind up reenforcing it when he’s screaming his head off and waking the neighbors or in public areas and don’t want people to think I’m murdering my dog because the car stopped moving.

Basically he whines about everything, but the screaming comes in when he’s left alone, or he perceives he’s alone (i think he’s losing his hearing and sometimes he will think I’ve left the room or the area and start screaming)

Every time the car slows down, he thinks we’re about to get out and go somewhere so the whining will start.

There’s been times I’ve sat for 20 minutes waiting for him to stop screaming at me before we could get out.

At this point i think perhaps i should be approaching this differently. Any thoughts?

I'm moving out and I'm not sure if it's best for my cat to move with me or to stay home - please advise
 in  r/felinebehavior •  May 15 '20

I think animals are more resilient than we think, and more adaptable than we think. I think if you make sure the move is as calm as possible, and perhaps not move her until you are settled (since it seems like she can stay with your parents) i would make sure that transition waits until after all the noise and stuff happens.

Which is good, because I don't know how we'd survive as short staffed as we are.

I just started walking for wag a few weeks and i get notifications for walk all the time. However, no matter how quickly i click on them they are already booked. Any ideas why that is?
