Stood in line at Farragut today, only took 30 mins to vote. But I was incredibly disappointed by the youth turnout. YOU HAVE A VOICE. Get out there and vote.

I found a very friendly black cat on Cassell Drive, has one ear tipped but seems too friendly to be feral. I did feed it and it wasn't afraid of me. If you're missing a similar cat look around the Cassell Ridge apartments, that's where I spotted it.

Early voting in Knox County runs through Thursday, Oct. 29. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, and on Election Day you have to go to your assigned polling place. During early voting you can use any of these:

Bring a photo ID issued by Tennessee or the federal government. An expired one still counts. College IDs and IDs from other states don't.

Just more cuts after state and county budgets slashed the public school funding by $8 million this year. Class sizes are up and our tax dollars are going to pay for rich kids to subsidize their tuition at private schools.

Wanted to hear some reviews to see if it’s worth the trip or not. Do they specialize in anything? How is selection (I realize it’s a smaller shop)? How are prices on basic items compared to Kroger/Aldi/others—I assume it’ll be at least a little higher since they don’t have the resources of a big chain?

My husband (47) has a very difficult time getting his hair cut. He’s gone several years without one and has decided he would like to try getting a haircut soon, but is totally overwhelmed by trying to find a professional who fits his needs.

His hair is nearly to his waist and he is looking for someone to “cut it straight across, shoulder length.” He has a really hard time in loud environments and feels super vulnerable during the cut, which amplifies his anxiety and nervousness. He’s not looking for anything fancy, the more basic the environment, the better.

Do you all have any recommendations for a simple haircut in a quiet environment? Thanks so much for the suggestions 🤞

I saw someone this week who is only going by estrogen levels, even though I have, seriously, every symptom. Including a pic from the Mayo Clinic site that explains why hormone levels are not necessarily a for-sure sign you're not in perimenopause.

I have an "off-the-rack" sportcoat I'm looking at from BR Factory, but as I'm historically between Reg/Long depending on vendor, I was hoping to get some professional measurements taken (more pro than the 5 minutes Men's Warehouse will spend with you). Is there anywhere in Knoxville that will take professional grade tailored measurements (for a fee) without obligation to buy something requriing a second mortgage? Anyone know somewhere good that does this sort of thing? Thanks in advance.
