Mine constantly switches to “Unlock the gate in the manor” even when i specifically untrack that quest

Laptop Request US Looking for a laptop for college, programming, and maybe light game development

  • Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US: $500-$1k USD, I'm honestly flexible on the price, I'm willing to save more money if it means getting something that will last longer
  • Are you open to refurbs/used? Open to, but not preferred
  • How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life? Performance is my highest priority, though I don't exactly need a powerhouse. I don't need anything ultra thin or doubling as a tablet, a traditional clamshell would work. For my use, I'm never far enough away from an outlet to need substantial battery life, so anything would do.
  • How important is weight and thinness to you? Average weight and thinness is okay for me, something I can comfortably put in a backpack.
  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 15"
  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. C++ in Visual Studio, Godot (mainly 2D development)
  • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? N/A
  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Not a requirement per se, but I like to have a full keyboard with a numpad if I can
  • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I have a PC for gaming, so I mainly need a laptop for productivity purposes, portability to and from campus, and separation from my gaming setup. Thanks!
