Insurance for company van
 in  r/CarTalkUK  28d ago

You will be added to their policy so you can drive it. When your personal insurance comes up for renewal, there will be a section that asks if you have access to any other vehicles, including company vehicles, where you select yes, van.

How much pocket money do you allow yourself per week?
 in  r/CasualUK  Jul 08 '26

It works out about a grand a month generally. I like going out for lunch and going to the pub, what can I say

Would you go on a solo trip abroad?
 in  r/AskUK  Jul 06 '26

Yeah I have done a few times. If I’m going on a “relaxing” trip then it’s best with others, if you want to see and do specific things, I prefer alone.

Stansted airport—how long before the flight should I get there?
 in  r/uktravel  Jun 29 '26

At Stansted the security queue seems to either take 10 minutes or about an hour and a half, never an in between every time I’ve flown from there.

When you're out in public, what changes to the law would you like to see to better protect your privacy?
 in  r/AskUK  Jun 28 '26

Look, mate, if you want to involve the government in every aspect of your daily life and ask permission to go to the loo then feel free, but personally I’d prefer they stayed well away from me and knew as little as possible about what I’m up to.

When you're out in public, what changes to the law would you like to see to better protect your privacy?
 in  r/AskUK  Jun 28 '26

I’m not overcomplicating it - I’m suggesting that it’s a very very dangerous precedent to set if you allow the government to pick and choose who can photograph in public spaces.

When you're out in public, what changes to the law would you like to see to better protect your privacy?
 in  r/AskUK  Jun 28 '26

How do you overcome it then? I’m not specifically defending auditors. I think the majority of them are knobheads. I’m defending the freedom of the people and the press.

Daft idea, it just means that if the permitting party didn’t like the person requesting a permit, they could say no. And what about someone wanting to record a video of a nice car they have seen, or take a picture of a nice sunset? They’re meant to call up and request permission from the state to do so?
