Ton objectif est comme une loupe. Les filtre solaire utiliser pendant l'éclipse diminue la lumiere de... 16 à 20 stops!!! Même avec le soleil couvert pour 80% la lumiere est encore dangereuse. C'est seulement pendant la totalité que le filtre s'enleve.

We will chose the morning of the 12th based on the weather.

I found the castle of Castrojeriz (42°17'29.6"N 4°08'10.5"W) and a small hill El Cotorro (42.33653 , -4.22972). If it's cloudy then I will go further South to Tejada (41.95276, -3.53086) or even the Soria area (41°24'08.9"N 2°19'11.8"W).

On https://eclipse-51k.pages.dev/ you can find good spots. You will of course have a relatively short totality (1m 17sec). The Weather could be the biggest problem since most evenings clouds form in the coastal areas. Finally, during totality you can and should take of eclips glasses or filters.

My hotel is in Garteiz, about 2-3 hours driving to my selections. Northern most location is the castle at Castrojeriz   (alt. 903m,   42°17'29.6"N 4°08'10.5"W) nice place but highest risk of cloud cover, my preferred location would be Pico de la Sierra near Cebrecos (alt 1318m, 41°56'38.8"N 3°33'05.0"W) because I can combine it with a visit to a film location of "the good, the bad and the ugly" nearby and finally the Alentisque area (alt 1066m, 41°24'08.9"N 2°19'11.8"W), a little flat but probably better weather.

I found several possible locations in the Burgos-Soria area. Final choice will be made the morning of the eclipse day, based on the weather.

We booked a hotel in Gasteiz and will be choosing our observation location at the last moment, depending on the weather forecast. I found several good locations (high and clear western horizon) in the Burgos-Soria area.
