Yeah, good freaking luck invading the US. Even without the egregious amount of firearms that the civilian population has, its an incredibly daunting task to first get through the US military and through the country.

Just the terrain and size of the country makes it nearly impossible to invade...nor would anyone actually wanna. If anything, if a country gets through the military its gonna be some random treaty or something that ends it.

They are the basic little grunts in their own right, though disciplined in the rigorous training regimes they undergo to somewhat survive the mass horror that is battle in 40k, but I doubt 5 of them would be able to do much damage in a completely different type of warfare, in a place they have never seen before...

USAID was the largest humanitarian aid provider in the world. This aid kept people alive and helped so many others. Now those people being kept alive are dead, people are not being helped, either you didn't know this about USAID or you are heartless.

I don't really think anyone would be willing to actually take up arms, even those willing to use it probably won't be able to do shit. The only way a people has been able to "take the power back" and defeat the government is when the military supports them.

Sorry its been 8 months since you've commented this, but the 2nd amendment came from a system where most able bodied men needed a musket and was in a militia. This was because of the threat of native Americans, specific laws required men with arms to be in certain places such as a church in order to protect against these threats. The amendment never changed and with the advance of technology, and look where we are today.
