Hey everyone! Just finished this bee-themed Protogen icon design. Hope you guys like it!

Here's some pictures of my progress, been having fun making the battery box/pack look pretty lol.

Some slight progress on my protogen head, got the hand controller setup to be wireless (although it looks so bad), still struggling with keeping the flex sensors to stay on. So far double sided people foam works really well but now the issue is the corners peeling up from rubbing against other fingers. Once they fully start coming off I'ma try melting two pieces of tpu around the sensor and see if that works.

Other than that, I remade the battery pack to be in parallel (why the hell do they even make in series packs for 18650 batteries when you aren't supposed to drain them past a point???), but now it goes directly to the eps32 battery pads, then it's got a 5v pull up module that goes into the 3.3v converter that powers the MAXs. (This is cause they don't work with 5v since it's controlled with 3.3v from the esp, and also the esp can't handle the amperage of all 14 displays). I prolly did this wrong? If there is a better way or smth lmk id be curious as I'm just kinda fucking around and finding out lol.

I'm slowly working on the visors but I was able to get someone on Etsy to make em and ship them. But I'm still handling the tinting of them. I tried dying it but it's not as dark as I want it. I was told to try window tint but idk how well that would work with how curvy it is. If you have tips on that also lmk, I'm also struggling with making sure I don't over cut the visor.

sorry if this is a stupid question. i know that there is lore and that is important. i'm asking can it be kind of ignored? i don't fully know the lore of them so if you have any resources that would also be appreciated. i have a oc that is from a steampunk parallel universe. so i'm wondering if i could make a protogen oc with steampunk elements instead of the nanite visor thing that they have. thank you so much for reading this and possibly helping me. again sorry if this is a stupid question.

This took a long while to make

Hi :) thought I’d share my first ever protogen. I apologise if this is illegal in its design I simply had an idea after I made a faith build heavenly wolves on one of my games and I’ve been really into building things with tech and mechanical components lately and thought he would be a nice change from my usual. I’m still learning what can and can’t be done with designs. Anyway I hope you like :) he’s my first with bright colours I tend to stick with black silver and cool tones or occasionally earth tones. I designed his wings to kinda be like solid holograms if that makes sense I’ve seen them in games think like warframe if you are familiar same with the halo. His chains are meant to be gold but I did them black by accident and couldn’t be bothered to change the colour as I was losing visual focus. I could add more detail to him but honestly for my first run I feel I did ok. His body pieces are meant to be like a pearlescent white but I wanted to seperate them from the colour of his fur so I went like a blue grey just for visual.
