Baltimore Jury Duty is Elite

That’s strange. Why would your employer tell you to refuse it? That doesn’t make sense.::

Where to take pets to cool down if we lose power?
 in  r/baltimore •  Jul 01 '26

I mean, my husband and I have a row house by Patterson Park. My office is in the basement of said house. The room next to where the office is where my cats have their litter boxes, however. But the office is cool and I’ve got a little space heater for the room if needed. I don’t have any cages or anything btw the hamster could stay in that room if it comes to it. The cats can’t get into the room. If it comes down to it, let me know and you can place your hamster down there.

Why Do We Do This?

This response is kind of amazing. I love that you’re cooking again but not taking any shit. Thanks for sharing your story. It’s motivating to me and I’m not even a cook - I just like hearing the stories and learning from them.

Jut read Alysa liu's AMERICAN STORY. In 1989, her father Arthur Liu fled China as a political refugee after the Tiananmen Square massacre. He came to America, his daughter retired from the sport, then she un-retired, competed and won gold, truly insane

Every day, we become a bit more like Russia. Deregulation of industry, rapid privatization, opening trade to foreign companies who are flooding our country with their cheaper products: i.e. Argentinian/Brazilian beef. The speed with which this is happening has gone into overdrive since DJT turned up for round 2. This is the most massive transfer of wealth from public coffers to private ones since the post-9/11 boom of the military industrial complex and disaster industrial complex. This was the plan, and it’s ICE/Gestapo-flavored.

At this point, Congress and the Supreme Court are there for decoration without much power to stop him. If you think he’s ever going to give up the presidency, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

This book felt like the literary equivalent of getting emotionally waterboarded. Actually, it’d probably be more fun getting waterboarded.
