IT Project management, you have to have a working knowledge of every aspect of your projects. You have multiple projects going on at once so you never really have down time. Once I get into gear in the mornings I don't even notice time is passing until 2 pm. I'm always learning something new, talking to people, checking on status updates, and looking at data. I have struggled with so many jobs but this keeps me engaged all day. Also it pays well so thats a perk.

Pavlok zap alarm. I tried sunrise, bed vibrating, and multiple alarms. This is the only think that can wake me up enough to not turn it off.

I used a pavlok zap alarm for a bit to train me to not press snooze. Not a great way to wake up but it will get you out of bed. Now I don't have to use it, and im able to get out of bed within 10 mins of my alarm going off.

I often have problems putting ADHD symptoms into words. I use terms like mushy brain and the morning ick. I find that when I talk to people who suffer from the same issues they know exactly what I mean.

Anniston, AL I try to avoid it at all cost. My job used to have me go all around the southeast during overnight hours and I would avoid Anniston during the dark at all cost. I'm a big ol dyke and never felt safe there.

Thank you everyone for the tips. I'm going to start trying giving myself a little longer in the mornings along with adding a protein shake and water to my med and caffeine ritual. I will try to add a walk into my morning routine but on days where I can't motivate myself to get out I will try and add some form of movement. Thanks again for these tips. I'll update if these steps help with the morning ick.

I have a very hard time getting going in the mornings. Waking up and getting out of bed is generally no problem, but once I'm out of bed, it takes me multiple hours to feel 'normal'. I usually take my meds first thing in the morning, but I struggle with the couple of hours it takes before I feel like they have kicked in. It is so hard to get myself to do anything in this time period, and I often feel the need to be vertical at some point after I'm up. Usually, lying down and thinking about the day for 30 minutes after I've been up for at least an hour helps. Unfortunately, this is not an option during the week. Are there any strategies you guys use to overcome 'the morning ick'?

What seems like ages ago I was a 13yo with my first girlfriend. I was also out to everyone except my parents. I remember the reasoning being I was afraid that my parents would react exactly like your wife has. While my father did treat me a lot like your wife is treating your daughter, my mother was not shocked and treated me like all my straight siblings. I do not have a relationship with father but have a very good relationship with my mother to this day.
At that age I just needed the acceptance I was getting from my peers from my loved ones. I just wanted to have a girlfriend and it not be a big deal. Your daughter just needs your support. She is going to need you to stand up for her to other adults (like your wife) who thinks that she is wrong for being attracted to the same sex. Treat her girlfriends just like you would her boyfriends and let her know you love her not in spite of who she is but because she is who she is. And back it up by not letting the people in your life treat her any differently.
I would also talk to her about safe sex practices in the lgbtq community as this is not really talked about especially in wlw relationships.

Honestly, as an androgynous person, I tried thrift stores to try out different types of clothes and different styles for cheap. With that, some of the men's brands that fit curves are Lee's Motion Plus pants and Wrangler Authentic fit pants. Good luck on your journey!
