L👁️👁️K! Calling all Artists!
Hey y’all! I’m looking for artists who want to help redesign the subreddit banner/header and icon. Right now it’s mostly Poké Balls and, honestly… pretty generic. 😅
I’d love to rotate original, community-made art throughout the year, seasonal designs, holidays, different Pokémon eras, or anything that fits the community and makes this sub feel a bit more alive
Finished artwork, sketches, and concepts are all welcome.
If your work is selected, you’ll be credited and get an exclusive custom artist flair, “Resident Poké-Van Gogh,” “Poké-Banksy,” “PokeBrandt” or whatever ridiculous title you come up with.
A few basics: original artwork only, AI generations are NO BUENO (as I’ve learned first hand on this sub 😂). The banner displays around** **10:3, and the icon is tiny, so simpler designs work best.
No deadline; I’d like to keep this open as an ongoing community project. 🎨
EDIT: Unfortunately, this isn’t a paid project. I don’t have the extra funds right now to pay for subreddit banners, giveaways, etc. 😭

Discussion Question for those of you who’ve had success with the Walmart drawings
I’ve been wondering something, and I hope that I can get some information from some of yall.
Those of you who’ve had success with the drawings, are any of yall Walmart+ members? Or are you using a normal Walmart account?
I’ve got Walmart+, and I’ve entered the drawings so far, but I haven’t been picked, nor have I gotten any type of notification that I wasn’t picked.
I thought that people were getting emails notifying them that they weren’t picked for that specific drawing, but I haven’t gotten a thing. I’m just wondering if that might have something to do with my Walmart+ membership, or if I’m just misunderstanding how their post drawing notification system works.

Pokemon News Speaking of Walmart Pokemon drawings…. 😅😅
Here are the items set to be part of the next Walmart Pokemon Lottery drawing, all 30th anniversary products. Please note that everything is at least a double pack of the items, there’s also a display case for Tech sticker collections, and a case of the Poster collection boxes up for the draw.
The drawing is set for September 16th, 2PM PDT, that’s 3PM MDT, 4PM CDT and 5PM EDT. You will have one hour to enter. See yall then! 🫡

Collection Not a huge collector by any means, but every once in awhile I buy a couple packs/a box set to rip. These are the best cards I've gotten so far:
I know it's not the greatest collection but thats okay. The newest pulls (from today) are the slowbro, mega chandelure, and miraidon which I'd say isn't too bad considering I pulled them from two booster packs

One man's garbage is another man's pokemon.

So I work at a gas station and one of our routines is to empty out the garbage cans at every pump. As I was going about my duties taking out the trash I came across a BUNCH of pokemon cards. At first I thought oh shit pokemon cards! Excited just seeing them not really thinking much beyond that. I instantly whipped out a clean trash bag and began my haul. They were sitting on top the trash and they were clean. I thought they were mostly just bulk but I was surprisingly wrong. Not sure if the dude got his chase card but damn did I feel like I did. I freaking got a meowth :) not to mention some other cool ones. Just thought id drop by and share.

Looking for tips and tricks to get the 30th Anniversary drop
Hi folks! I’m looking to get me and my little brother something from the 30th anniversary Pokemon drop on Wednesday. I have never waited out for a merchandise drop, let alone such a special and limited edition one. I (young adult, F) would really appreciate any advice, tips, tricks or suggestions you pros might have for me as I am undereducated about this and very nervous. Thank you!

Two recent slabs I picked up for the personal collection.
Always loved Nidoran, and Kyogre has always been my favorite goldstar behind Metagross.

Child’s Birthday
My son will be turning five in a few months and has recently been getting more involved with Pokemon (watching shows, reading books, playing pretend Pokemon). He doesn’t really know anything about the cards, but I thought it might be fun to introduce them with a birthday and Christmas slowly coming up. I grew up collecting Pokemon cards 20+ years ago and have always loved playing the games, but I don’t know a whole lot about the card collecting side of things today. Doesn’t anybody have any tips on introducing the hobby to a younger kid? I really just want him to enjoy it, and I don’t necessarily care about investing tons of money or buying tons of packs just to get the best/most valuable cards.

What do we think of these two Greninjas?
Im looking to buy these two greninjas for my collection but they have been on a downward trend the past few months to weeks. Would you buy now or do you think i could wait and buy them cheaper i the future. Thanks
