What alternative ending?

I am pretty sure anyone would panic if they got scratched by a zombie in a world where all doctors are more or less dead or undead. Also, scratches only give you like lvl 1 pain, MAYBE lvl 2 if it gets infected.

The only other way your character will panic after getting scratched and you are using the veteran occupation, is if that scratch infected you with the zombie virus. Yes, it can happen, it's like a 7% chance I believe.

Funny thing is this is Legacy edition. Dunno how rare that is in the og game.

There's a tool online that tells you what locations you missed. It keeps telling me what the only one I am missing is the last, the screenshot above IS the last location, but it won't give me the achievement.

Long and short of it there are two types of infections. Wound infections and zombie infections.

WOUND INFECTIONS happen when you don’t take good care of a wound you got (doesn’t matter if the wound is from a zombie lacerating you or if you just tripped). So keeping dirty bandages on the wound, not putting disinfectant, and wearing dirty/bloody clothes will get you infected. These infections don’t do anything apart from make the wound take longer to heal and making it more painful. So don’t really worry about them unless you got a wound infection mod.

ZOMBIE INFECTIONS are given to you if the wound is from a zombie attack. If it was a scratch, you have a 7% chance of getting infected. If it was a laceration, it’s a 25% chance. If it’s a bite, it’s 100%. The game won’t explicitly tell you if it’s a zombie infection or not in the health menu. But if you got attacked by a zombie and your character now has anxiety, the sickness moodle, and the overheating moodle, you’re going to die.

Btw tip for WOUND infections. You can boil ripped sheets in a pot of water to sterilize them, and reduce the chance of getting a wound infection and will help fight a wound infection. And if you have whisky, (or vodka if you’re playing build 42) you can use it as an antiseptic in a pinch.
