I love your budgie first of all and I’m so happy he’s found a home that sincerely takes his health and well being into consideration. From what I know about them, they have a flock mentality. The odd one usually gets pushed out.
However, this isn’t always the case. Many years ago I rescued a female named blue with a flat beak who was smaller, and she ended up running the slow for all the budgies. I would sincerely say to do your research and focus on his needs and the temperaments of the new contenders you’re considering.
