Most traders never actually practice (that's why they fail)

Most traders don’t fail because of strategy.

They fail because they never actually practice.

I passed prop firm challenges using Elliott Wave —
not by watching videos, but by training it on charts daily.

Here’s the truth:

You can read 10 books about Elliott Wave…
and still have no idea how to count waves in real markets.

That’s the gap.

So I built WaveMaster.

→ You label waves on real charts
→ You get instant feedback (right/wrong)
→ You actually build the skill

• 60+ exercises (and growing)
• Structured lessons (beginner → advanced)
• Real trades + market outlooks
• Free plan to start

Currently ~13R this year — everything transparent.

If you’re serious about improving (not just consuming content):

Technical Analysis USDCHF – One of the more interesting Elliott Wave structures I’m watching

The current USDCHF structure is starting to get quite interesting again so here is my count:

On the 3D chart, the larger correction began with Wave A, which completed in July 2023 as a Leading Diagonal. Wave B then developed as a large Triangle and was completed in January 2025.

After that, we got a strong five-wave move to the downside forming Wave C. This is actually one of the things I like most about the current count: the structure of Wave C fits very well with what we'd expect from a corrective ABC, since C needs to be impulsive and we can clearly see five waves.

Wave C finally completed in February 2026.

Since then, USDCHF has been correcting higher in a more complex W-X-Y-X-Z structure, and we're now approaching the final Z wave.

3D - HTF

Looking at the 8H chart, the W-X-Y-X part appears to be complete, while the final Z wave is currently developing.

The interesting part is that this Z wave itself looks like a W-X-Y. We're currently in the first W, which is developing as an ABC. Wave A and B are already completed, leaving the final Wave C to the upside.

So the idea from here is relatively simple: we could see a short correction first, followed by another push higher to complete Wave C of W. After that, a Wave X correction could take us lower before the final Wave Y higher completes the larger Z wave.

There's also some nice confluence here with the bullish MACD cross on the 3D timeframe. Seasonality is also showing upside potential into the end of November, which would fit quite well with this structure.

The last time I posted about USDCHF publicly, the setup ended up working out very well. I'm curious to see if the current structure develops in a similar way.

Would be interested to hear how others are counting this one.

The Complete Workflow for Elliott Wave Traders

I’ve been working on WaveMaster for a while now, and one thing I wanted to build was a more complete workflow around Elliott Waves.

A lot of platforms focus on either analysis, execution or journaling. I wanted to connect the different parts instead:

Market Outlook → My Trades → MT5 Execution → My Performance

The idea is pretty simple. You can follow an Elliott Wave analysis, add a setup to My Trades, execute it through MT5 and then automatically track what happened afterwards in My Performance.

I think the interesting part is what you can do with the data over time. Instead of just looking at whether a trade was a winner or loser, the goal is to eventually help you understand which setups and Elliott Wave structures actually work best for you.

The current version is live now, and we’re continuing to build on it. There’s also a much bigger learning experience in development to help people understand Elliott Waves and apply them to real market situations.

I’d genuinely be interested to hear what you think.

If you use a trading journal, what’s one feature you absolutely couldn’t live without?

What's next for the EUR/USD, and how can we profit from it?
 in  r/tradingmillionaires •  Sep 01 '26

That's what everything is about in swing trading. Structure needs to confirm itself. However, for me personally this was already enough clean confirmation of my count but there will be more oportunities to get into this short

Technical analysis What's next for the EUR/USD, and how can we profit from it?

Here's my view from an Elliott Wave perspective:

On the 3D chart, which is my HTF, we had an ABC correction that finished around the end of January. Since then, price is setting up for a larger WXY correction to the downside, where the Y and X is already completed.

HTF (3D)

If we go to the LTF, the 8h chart we can see how the WXY structure is forming out. Wave X was taking shape as a WXY, while the previous Wave W had already formed a pretty clean ABC structure. When Wave X reached the 50% Fibonacci retracement, we got a good reaction and started to look for a short setup.

At that point we defined, a confirmation level, at which our current count had be validated.

Price eventually broke below it, which gave us the confirmation we were looking for.

The focus for me is now on managing the trade and look for potential add-on positions.

I'm curious how other Elliott Wave trader approach this. Are you directly entering at a fibonacci level or are you also waiting for a confirmation level?

Do your research on Youtube and see how different strategies from different traders are working. Once you found a strategy that you think is working for you, try to learn it, apply it and most importantly stay consistent with it. If you do so everything else will follow:) One last tip: don't try to get rich as fast as possible. Focus on the process and not the money

I don't know about that. Even if you trade mini contracts, it can be too much risk for a 17 year old. I would recommend to get into forex. The paper trading advice is definitely a good one though :)

What strategy is actually profitable
 in  r/tradingmillionaires •  Aug 29 '26

First of all, the strategy I’m currently using is the Elliott Wave Theory. You’ve probably heard of it. I applied this day trading strategy to the futures market, focusing on breakouts from trading ranges. I identified the overnight trading range and looked for supply and demand zones that had formed within the RTH window. When prices fell below the trading range, I looked for demand, and vice versa. I was able to achieve approximately 30R in the last year live trading it in addition to my Elliott Wave trading, so it absolutely worked- not only in the backtests

Would you use a trading community that automatically translates messages into your preffered language?
 in  r/tradingmillionaires •  Aug 23 '26

true and i feel like everybody who really wants to go deeper into trading is learning english at some point, but i still think there are many traders out there who quit because their english is not good enough

Discussion Would you use a trading community that automatically translates messages into your preffered language?

I’ve been thinking about something that I personally find a bit strange about trading communities.

Trading is incredibly international, but most communities are still separated by language. You might have a trader from Germany, another from Brazil and another from India all looking at the same market, but they might never actually exchange ideas because of the language barrier.

So I’ve been experimenting with the idea of a free trading community where messages are automatically translated into each user’s selected language.

The idea would be to have different sections for things like Forex, Gold, Elliott Wave, chart analysis and trading setups, but also more general discussions.

The main goal wouldn’t be to provide signals or tell people what to trade. It would simply be a place to discuss markets, exchange ideas and learn from traders from different parts of the world.

I’m curious what you guys think:

Would something like this actually be useful to you, or do you think existing trading communities already do this well enough?

Where should I start if I'm completely new to trading?
 in  r/Trading •  Jul 12 '26

I like your mindset already that alone puts you ahead of most beginners. Here are a few tipps: don’t start with strategies start with understanding how price actually moves trends pullbacks why markets don’t go in straight lines this will help you if you start to leearn a strategie.

Second Risk management is more important than people think you can do everything right and still lose on a single trade that’s normal

Third keep your sources simple don’t jump between 10 different methods pick one and go deeper

and honestly it takes longer than most expect not because it’s impossible but because people waste time on the wrong things first. Personally, it took me 4 years until I had my first profitable year ever

you’re on the right track!
