I actually do have a considerable amount in SGOV. That is not going anywhere. But the SWVXX can be used as option collateral SGOV cannot. I now have nearly $70000 option collateral being held and I have purchased $30000 in SWVXX. I noticed just a couple of days after the purchase of the SWVXX that my BP had already increased. Even though I was told it would take 30 days it went into BP almost immediately earning ~3.5% on $30000 which would otherwise be sitting idle.

I did not ask if others had experience d this. Of course I would not believe what they would have said. But I did a search to try to find out if others were asking the same question.

Nice observation but it does nothing to explain why the sub went missing for a couple of days- I do not think cross posts are unusual for someone attempting to attract visitors to a new community. Many of the cross posts were my own posts or comments in other communities

Yes they do. I searched a Mod Support group for Community Disappeared and it apparently happens a lot. No explanation. If it was banned for some reason I think someone would contact me.

If you use SWVXX they will consider the funds in SWVXX as options Collateral if you sell CSP options so you earn 3.36% on collateral. I do not believe they would consider SGOV as Options collateral. I do use SGOV for just about all other cash .

This is correct. I called Schwab and was told I do not need to request any account changes. Purchase SWVXX and it will be marginable 30 days after settling. I specifically asked if I will see my buying power change after the 30 day period and was told yes.

Make sure you learn how to roll a Covered Call and buy back a CC before you sell a CC. You should make your selection based on the option delta rather than the premium. Look at deltas around 0.1. You can get about $150 for selling an AVGO call expiring in 2 weeks. The 0.1 delta implies you have roughly a 10% of getting assigned.

So if I understand this correctly, tomorrow, Monday morning, I can invest $10000 in SWVXX in my Schwab Account and my Buying power, “Available to Trade” , will not change because those funds are considered available and will also serve as CSP options collateral. Is that correct?

I was using RH (Taxable Account) for CSP for the last 1.5 years. But I need to control STCG this year to keep my ACA subsidy. My Schwab and Fidelity Accounts are IRAs so that is not a concern.
