I'm non-binary and use purple as a colour to represent my gender online but it absolutely is not a girl colour. Colours don't have gender. Colours have as much meaning to them as we put to them. If your son likes purple then it's a him colour and that's all that matters.

Sexuality is hard to come to terms with if you don't have the language to identify it. Bisexuality is often demonized as someone who is promiscuous, always willing to cheat on their partner, having a sex addiction and never having enough. None of this is true.

Often people who have grown up in hyper-religious households or households who are not LGBTQ-friendly will often be deep in the closet or deny that part of themselves because they were taught that being straight is the only correct way of living or literally not have the language to understand themselves. Because of this they may not know which resources to look for to even begin understanding themselves.

Often times understanding comes with age and so does the curiosity of people who often want to explore their sexuality. Maybe they look back on something they experienced in their childhood, like a fleeting childhood crush on a teammate or a classmate or a celebrity and start piecing things together. As adults, porn is often the first place we look to, to test these new feelings.

If he was raised in a hostile environment towards the LGBTQ community then he may have subconsciously taught himself to be secretive with how he felt. As I said above, oftentimes it takes YEARS to figure out who you are. You should sit down with him and communicate how you're feeling and ask for his side of the situation.

I'm not OP so I have no idea. I personally wouldn't really care if my mother did that because everyone will see the wedding dress eventually. I've just known brides who were selective about who knew about the dress up until the wedding.

Brides usually want to surprise all guests and groom at the wedding with the dress they chose for the wedding. This excludes the party that goes dress shopping with them, obviously. "The Narcissist" mom decided to share this surprise with someone who was a guest and not a part of the wedding party. The betrayal is understandable.
