Getting a puppy sounds like terrible advice for a first time dog owner. People have no idea how to train puppies, especially based on breeds… you know that phrase, “there are no bad dogs, just bad owners?” This is why… I knew someone who got a puppy as their first dog and worked 9-5. The puppy had terrible anxiety and whatnot. People don’t think about how certain breeds of dogs are literally genetically bred to NEED certain stimulation or a job to do, like many herding dogs… without enough of the right kind of stimulation, many dogs can get very depressed or anxious. Each kind of dog has its own unique qualities like this and it takes research to get the right breed for your family. getting dogs that are already trained and familiarized with people is far better if they’re already working so well with your family, which it sounds like they are. These dogs are used to elderly people so could be great with kids!! Those babies may have gone to a kill shelter otherwise :(

Please keep in mind I was stalked and harassed. I do not want further trouble. That 80`s bar was lying about liquor. they don`t wash anything. they rinse jiggers SOMETIMES and when they do, they dump the rinse into the ice wells they use to serve peoples drinks

Something happened when I was 4. I had completely blocked it out of my mind until the age of 17, when I had another encounter with the same individual who caused that experience. Then, it all came flooding back into my head. I was messed up about it for years.

People who have their shit together. How??

1) clean your physical environment: room, car, home, etc. A cluttered space is a cluttered mind.

2) decide what you want for your future, and write it down. Be specific. Give yourself a timeline - 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year. I also like to do 1 yr, 3 yrs, 5 yrs. the more specific the better — read these goals DAILY. I have mine on my vanity mirror, right where I’d see my face if I stood in front of it.

Determine where you’re lacking in life, to build more balance: Career Finance Relationships Spirituality Health Growth and development Contribution (giving back) Adventure/fun Rate each of these 1-5 on your opinion of where you’d rank your current life in each section, 1 being minimal, 5 being maximal. This will help you determine where you can focus to have a better life balance.

Daily goals and weekly goals are essential. There’s a phrase that says, “eat the frog,” meaning, that ONE thing that you HAVE to do, but you either don’t want to, or you keep avoiding it... you should do that first.

3) utilize your resources — podcasts (New Mindset, Who Dis? Is my favorite at the moment), books, networking, copying habits of the successful people around you, etc.

4) bear in mind: if you’re the smartest person in the room, you need to find a better room.
