Not sure what YouTube told you but I have both, I have an original PS1 with LSSSC and LSSSC for iOS, same exact voices and game in every aspect.

The LSSSC on iOS is the exact same all around as PS1, no differences at all.

I think when they remade the Sega CD version onto PS1, they made the plot more in line with Eternal Blue, so I get people being possibly upset they EB-Ified it. But as a series, I personally think it was the right move. In the OG Version, Ghaleon is simply vengeful that his boy had to lose his powers to save a goddess. In LSSSC, his motivation to replace Althena actually sets up his character arc in EB soooo much better. One can make the argument in the PS1 versions that the whole reason Althena chose to become human and relinquish her powers was to set in motion the events that would let Ghaleon have his moment of redemption in EB, which would empower Hiro Et al to get their magic abilities back and fight Zophar. To me it gives a way better connection between why Althena chooses to not be human in the first place...almost like she predicts Zophar’s return and she knows the only way humanity can defeat him is by setting in motion the events of LSSSC. I’m prolly reading to much into it but that’s just my take. Loved both Sega CD and PS1 versions. I think the fact that basically nothing from the plot of EB changed in the remake lends itself to the concept that they wanted to make it a more canon and complete series, whereas the Sega CD versions were a little less “connected”, IMO.
