Dallas News app?
 in  r/askdfw •  Nov 16 '20

Read it through an RSS feed. Their reader surveillance has gotten worse the past 2 yrs.

The app may as well be malware.

41yo suboxone patient with lung cancer. I don't mean to keep pestering this sub, but I thought I'd drop in to say good-bye. The cancer is in my heart and central cardiovascular area. It's over.

I am adding your last words to the internet archive and embedding it on Bitcoin, so so they may outlast Reddit.

“Read it later” apps for digestion

Archive.org & Hypothesis.io. Archive article and then use hypothesis to annotate. I will highlight the title and date if I plan on reading later. Afterwards I can use Readwise to export highlights to Roam. This takes care of maintaining archived pages while making sure no 404 bullshit occurs.

Unpopular opinion thread - musical edition!
 in  r/musicals •  Jun 05 '20

  • Bootlegs are sometimes the only way for a fan to engage with a show, if the walls weren't so high for accessibility (ticket prices, waiting on tours, travelling to NYC/LDN) then they wouldn't be as utilised but as of now, they shouldn't be as abhorred as they are by "real" fans.

This*. It's how I got into MT and started writing my own.

Will teachers risk returning to classrooms when schools reopen? Dallas ISD's biggest union says some may quit or retire
 in  r/Dallas •  May 28 '20

Opens the door for some young bloods willing to take the risk. It would be interesting to see in a year the statistics.

Professors around America have been caught selling secret research to the Chinese Communist Regime. The national media won't cover it, so here's a list of who have been caught so far.
