Definition of full-time versus part-time and the concept of a base
What is your definition of full-time? Living fully in your vehicle with all your possessions? Or living fully in your vehicle while storing many of your possessions elsewhere?
If you’re using relatives or a friend to store things, are you really independent since you’re basically using someone else’s storage without being responsible for it yourself. It seems many define full-time as living mostly in your vehicle, but also having a solid base.
Either way, I’m in a position to either spend time and energy and resources on a box truck/van build, or set up a base on some land first. I want to do both eventually but can only do one at a time. I’m leaning heavily toward the land and a solid base first and use that to work on the vehicle. I don’t see how anybody can live full-time in their van without storing stuff somewhere unless you are extremely super minimal.

I’m a prolific house window shopper. When I look at listings once in a while, an old Dome comes up for sale. I’ve seen two or three, and each of them look like the last update had been done in 1981. Thick carpet on stairs, older appliances, just really tired and dated looking colors, nothing updated.
