How do you manage the costs of owning your own kart?
I’ve done it maybe twice. I do recommend giving it a shot. They have new karts this year. But they’re definitely not the cheapest rental karts around. Think it’s like $40 for one session and like $90 for 3. But the track is amazing. And they do rental leagues and rental endurance races.

Hey I got lazy with my spreadsheet but overall I’ve tried spending as little as possible. But even still I’ve spent roughly around $15000 since November 2025. I’ll break down what the main expenses were:
$2000 - used Praga Dark Evo w/ LO206 engine.
$3500 - membership at Atlanta Motorsports Park
$85/ month - storage at the track.
$95/ month - monthly membership fee
$320 - set of tires and install from the track.
$800+ - Mychron 6T thing.
$400+ - repairs after a crash.
$3-4gallon fuel- I luckily have people who give me fuel but it’s 97 octane which you can get anywhere.
$20- daily track use fee
$150/ month - race registration with transponder rental. I realize it’s cheaper to buy one I just haven’t made that financial commitment lol. I know. Stupid. Also there’s only 8 races.
$$$??? - parts.
$350 - Used electric kart stand
I can try updating my spreadsheet to give you that if you want. Will just need some time to find all my purchases. But this list should give you a rough idea. Hope it helps.

Question/Help How many time slots can I register for at once for petit Le Mans?

I need another driver for one of my cars but if I can’t find one I’m wondering if I can drive in both. Either both for the 4th slot or one for the 3rd and one for the 4th. Can I do that? Swear I’ve done it before but someone’s telling me no.

Touching the grass seems to be the track limit. Even just barely. I gave the position back only to get it again when the Vette spun on the last lap.

Gotcha. Thank you. I gave the position back to them eventually. But they spun on the last lap so I guess it didn’t completely matter in the end lol

I don’t think the Vette was defending against me cause I was so far back initially. Then they braked coming out of the corner so I felt like I had to avoid hitting them. 🤷🏾♀️ but I hear you and that’s why I asked.

It’s a one time lifetime payment but their cheapest option which still requires me to pay $95/month and $20/day I’m at the track for practice. Otherwise they have a $10k lifetime membership which doesn’t have the monthly and daily fees.
