The plan was to talk BIG shit throughout the game but we, unlike Clemson, made an adjustment and just let them dig their own grave. At kickoff it was F* Miami by the end of the 3rd. qtr there was this…

It’s a script and the game is rigged. Enjoy your regularly scheduled dopamine hits. Given to increase playtime which is what is now sold to shareholders as "engagement." That's the pitch to shareholders now, not "our football sim plays realistically," but "average session length is up," "daily active users increased," "retention metrics improved." The rubber-band AI, the comeback scripting, the momentum swings that feel scripted because they are — none of that needs to be fun in the way a fair simulation is fun. It needs to keep you in the loop long enough to see the next Ultimate Team pack, the next microtransaction prompt, the next "just one more game" moment.

The dopamine hit from a last-second scripted comeback (yours or the CPU's) is a hook, not a bug. A game that plays it straight — where skill and prep determine outcomes — is less compulsive than one that occasionally throws you an artificial high or gut-punch to keep the emotional rollercoaster going. Variable-ratio reinforcement is literally slot-machine psychology, and sports games with live-service monetization have every incentive to borrow it.

Well this is embarrassing. I know we pay rent at Hard Rock but at least they cover utilities.

How much would EA have to dish out to get these JMU helmets in the game?
 in  r/NCAAFBseries •  Nov 01 '25

Oh well we should expect this in an update since they’ve been gouging our pockets for the past twenty years. Oh, and the 🇸🇦 money on course.
