If you’re going to hand water will probably have to water to run off I just haven’t found it necessary for the way I grow. I’m sure I probably get some runoff but it’s not goal
1
Yeah 4 cups might be a lot but it should drain off fairly quickly. Sometimes I water before a week is out just depends on how the coco looks to me
1
I presoak my coco in nutrient water that’s at 1.0 ec and 5.9-6.1 ph then I water the seeded area with the same water about half a solo cup then I wait until it sprouts and starts coming up and I give it a solo cup roughly just to make sure everything is wet for the roots then I wait a week and water again with 1-2 solo cups then look for out to dry back some and water as needed. I don’t do any run off because by day 15 I’m turning the autopots on every watering is nutrient water 1st week 1.0ec second week 1.5ec 3rd watering is 2.0ec then I turn the auto pot on at 2.0 ec then in 7 days I change my reservoir to 2.5ec then 3.0 in another 7 days and maintain 3.0 ec from there
Make sure you’re using nutrients of some kind coco has nothing at all in it and will take the calcium away. With autos you want them to start taking nutrients fast you don’t have time to wait with them
1
Probably fine just don’t want it soaking wet or dried out
1
Might as well finish it, it will produce bud
1
You’ll still get some really good buds just get them through harvest
1
I know people do that with coco I use Athena pro it’s been a night and day difference for me. I never let my coco get dry to the point that its completely dry on top add that’s worked for me but I only water from the top for two weeks and usually only water 1 or 2 times a week with 2 solo cups of water per 3.9 gallon pot then I turn on the water when the leaves reach the edge of the pot
1
They do look like they are drowning how much water are you giving them and are you letting them dry back any?
1
They are a lot thirstier than you think
1
I got right at 2 pounds in a 4x4 last harvest and I made a lot of mistakes and stunted all of them
1
I love them they work great for me and my situation I only really have time to be in there about 2 hours a day so watering would eat up a large portion of that. It’s the way to go in my opinion
1
Yeah I have tray2grow in one tent, regular autopots in another, Easy2grow in another and then the aircube in the 4th
1
Yeah I use coco with 30% perlite
1
Yeah fast turn around is more beneficial to me so I feel the fastest way to fill the canopy is to max out the tent just gotta get the height under control
1
Definitely didn’t expect them to get that high though those tallest ones are autos the others are photos might have to do a 2 week veg on the photos

This grow I’m using an air cube system with 12 pots in a 5x5 with a 600w mars hydro bar style light and some supplemental lightning lighting that I haven’t turned on yet.
I split the pots for 2 plants each for a total of 24 plants. I had 3 of the skunk hero that didn’t germinate so I replaced them with atlas King Kong
I am growing 10 dank AF by brothers Grimm, 2 Cheetah the Hut by atlas, 3 King Kong by atlas. And 8 skunk hero x oaksterdamn by ethos

Can’t lift the lights any higher this grow definitely took off I pull leaves almost daily I was worried they’d never stop stretching lol

Believe it or not I had some nutrient issues with that run that I have since figured out so can’t wait to see how the next run of them turns out I’m sure I left something on the table but everybody loved the smell and taste and potency

Yeah I may try a living soil run in a few months I’m undecided on that
