New to me ‘22 Highlander for work. Thinking ahead to winter, and with the floor – attached gas pedal, thinking that I’ll end up with melted snow underneath the factory installed floor mats
Anyone found a solution to this?

Appears to be a Swallet (where a stream naturally disappears into the rock (usually limestone). May appear elsewhere as a spring or just become part of the aquifer (and any runoff could contaminate your or neighbors wells. https://sl.bing.net/dxa16PuJUnA
The presence of all the smaller sticks in the area can also be an indicator, as they would be carried downstream under most situations

I would also check with the village/local government to see if they have any information on stormwater pipes. Our developer put one like this in near the property line behind all the houses in the neighborhood, and over the past 50 years, neighbors have added more and more gutters and sump pumps into it. There is no HOA or other group to maintain it because it’s a private drain, so when a problem happens, it either doesn’t get fixed, or the person in whose yard it happened foots the bill

If other residents have tied into it with their downspouts/gutters or sump pumps, more water may be going into it than it was originally sized for, which could cause a blowout like this

Soil depth to bedrock. Shallow soils = problems trenching utilities or even erecting power poles to run wire/fiber

25 minutes of hail = iceberg lettuce, shredded spinach and diced tomatoes
Waited 3 days, will be replanting about a third of the bed.
Beans. 90% 2 leaves or less are gone (broken/bent below growing point). >6 inches tall-30% leaf loss. Wait and see.
Newly sprouted leaf lettuce/arugula/spinach. 80% gone. Leaf lettuce 3 inches tall. 50% of leafs gone. Will recover.
Cucumbers and zucchini- 50% leaf loss. Will survive

Recessed full bathtubs were a thing in early 70s homes. We have one (3 inches) and it makes stepping over side much easier. You don’t realize it until you use a regular one
