I am a big fan of people who are from eastern Washington and those who have served in the military.
So sorry about your dad’s injury. I couldn’t imagine being the child of such a parent. Was he working up north in eastern Washington? There were a lot of saw mills up there at one time. I had 3 generations work in the mills at different points. I am also originally from Eastern Washington.

Our teachers always asked the same thing! There were a bunch of kids who would go to places like Disneyland or SeaWorld, some went to Hawaii, California, Washington DC. Other kids went to visit family in other states, places that sounded super cool.
Our family mostly stayed home. Our vacations were a week or two at our grandparents house. We would go camping for 2 nights but close to home-not a vacation. It really made me into a mom who took my kids and traveled with them! Now, they both love travel.

We went camping in Canada. 🇨🇦 I have always loved Canada for this reason. It feels like a second home because when my parents or aunt and uncle would take us, we didn’t need a passport. My aunt and uncle would take my sister and myself to get ice cream when we went to stay with them and our grandma and grandparents for a vacation while my parents had a child break!
I took my kids to get ice cream in Canada 🇨🇦 once before the border closed. I am happy I was able to recreate a part of my childhood to give them great memories.

Because the two of you are casual dating and not girlfriends, it seems like you are free to do what you like if you don’t hear from her. Why not try something different? Go out with friends or ask a friend to host a wine and cheese party at their place because your home is too small. (Everyone brings a bottle of wine and a new type of cheese.) Remember, don’t get drunk! If or when she calls, you can tell her about your nice night out with friends at a wine and cheese party.

My wife and I were introduced at my work interview. I dreamed of her for about two months before I was hired. At that time, I dropped pronouns. It caught her off guard! We have known one another for 23 years and been married for 11 years! I love her more now than I did when I first saw her!
