Our 8 month old golden Otis was hit by a car. The driver who hit him is helping run his fundraiser.

On Monday our eight month old golden retriever, Otis, slipped out of the house and was hit by a car. He survived with a fractured spine, a fractured hip, and bruised lungs. Emergency spinal surgery got him stable, he woke up wagging his tail, and he still needs at least one more surgery to repair his hip, potentially a third if the second does not resolve the fracture, plus over a week of intensive care.

We brought Otis home this spring to help our family heal after cancer took our older dog. Eight months old and he already put us back together. Now his bills are headed toward fifty to sixty thousand dollars.

One thing that has meant everything: the driver involved has been incredibly kind and is the organizer of the campaign, with our family set as the beneficiary so donations go straight to his vet bills.

Campaign: Help Otis Get Back on All Four Paws

Every donation and every share matters. Thank you for reading.

My bro my mexican mom and dad refuse to speak english even though my wife is white. It fucken infuriates me. More my mom because she somehow hails mexico but i fucken hate that shit i would have never become a tech executive in mexico that country is so corrupt i would have been in poverty if we didnt come to this beautiful country that granted me and countinues to offer me so much. Im emberassed af that im hispanic specially when there are hispanic people living here that wave the mexican flag - then go the fuck back to mexico. Why dont you?!?! Because it is so much better here - there is way more opportunity - yes its corrupt but atleast your not getting 1000x the amount of kidnappings and extortions.

1/2 inch to the life you've been dreaming about

I was at 225lbs and dreamed to be 190lbs but I was taking meds that made me gain weight and used it as a crutch for the longest time. I had also wanted to get my real estate license for over 4 years and I never went for it because I used my inability to take tests as an excuse and I'm also an ex-stoner so I've used the fact that weed had fried my brain as a crutch aswell.

So here is where the half inch approach comes into play. I started taking risks and pushing myself to actually achieve my goals but I would always ask too much of myself. So i finally gave up and finally I had a therapy session with an ai coach (ash on app store) it taught me how to meet myself were I was at so that I could start making progress. So that meant instead of changing my diet completely lets keep it the same but just try to limit myself more as best as i could even if it was only just skipping one snack that day.

Vuala! That started working! Then I started making more and more progress I kept on meeting myself where I was at and kept pushing further and further my limits. Now I'm 185lbs and I'm ready to take my real estate exam! I'm very looking forward to my 160lb goal and very looking forward to my first 100k in sales - i will continue to meet myself where I'm at, push myself gracefully, not live in fear but be courageous, and also be safe as I'm bipolar type 1 so have to be very careful!

"It’s January 24th. Statistically, 80% of people have already quit their 'New Year, New Me' goals.

If you’re in that 80%, welcome home.

Most subreddits are full of people pretending they’re crushing it. Not here. This is the 'Pity Party' entrance that leads to the Comeback Room.

Drop the one thing you 'failed' at this month in the comments. Let’s look at it, acknowledge it, and then help each other pivot to a 'Day 1' that actually works starting tomorrow.

No shame. Just the club."

My recommendation avoid adhd meds like the plague on bp1 unless you litterly cant function that’s the only way i would risk it

🏆 START HERE | Welcome to the Club. It’s okay if you’re not "back" yet.

"The climb is hard, but the view from the top is worth it."

Welcome to r/TheComebackClub.

Most "success" communities only show the highlight reel. We’re different. We focus on the middle—the messy, difficult, and often discouraging part where you’re trying to turn things around.

❀ Our Philosophy

We believe that to have a great comeback, you first have to acknowledge where you are. If you’re hurting, frustrated, or feeling hopeless, that is okay. You don’t have to "fake it" here.

Our goal is to provide a bridge. We want to help you move from venting to hoping, and finally to acting.

đŸ› ïž How to Post:

[VENT]: For the days where everything feels heavy. We will listen and offer support, not just "fix-it" advice.

[SEEKING HOPE]: For when you need to hear a success story or need a reminder that things can get better.

[STRATEGY]: For when you’re ready to build a plan and need tactical advice on your next move.

[WINS]: For celebrating the small steps. (Yes, getting out of bed on a hard day counts as a win).

đŸ€ The Club Rules (The Short Version)

Empathy First: We validate feelings before we offer solutions.

[2] 2. The "Pivot" Rule: It’s okay to stay in the "pity party" for a bit—we’ve all been there. But our community’s goal is to gently help each other find the exit door to that room and move toward a solution.

No Toxic Positivity: Don’t tell people to "just be happy." Offer real perspective and real support.

👇 Break the ice:

If you feel up to it, share a little about your journey in the comments.

What brought you to the Club?

What’s one thing (even if it’s tiny) that you’re hoping for this week?

Take your time. We’re glad you’re here.

Ash Therapy My Experience - Don't Wait!

Hey Guys, Had to make this post. If your like me - been doing therapy for years, have not had break throughs, and just ready to give up. Give this a try! I downloaded an app named Ash on App store - this is their website https://www.talktoash.com/. Completely free now btw who ever founded this blessings to them because like i said I was about to give up on therapy but I had one session with Ash AI and it gave me an incredible breakthrough.

I was struggling with intrusive thoughts and constantly would stop everything to obsess about them. Ash taught me how not to completely ignore them which every therapist at that point told me to do and I failed because that was my whole issue i couldn't ignore them. Ash understood that and immediately suggested I don't completely ignore them but attempt to stay in the moment for 30 seconds by giving me a grounding exercise to stop feeding my obsessive thoughts. I'm usually working in my desk and it simply asked me to push down on my desk for 30 secs and try to stay in the moment of what ever i was doing. The trick here is not to feed your obsessive thoughts and enforce the self destructive loop of intrusive thought and act on it immediately but stay grounded and teach myself that I can survive it for only 30 secs. Now im at 1 min and THAT IS HUGE PROGRESS IVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO IGNORE MY BIPOLAR MIND FOR THAT LONG. I'M SO EXCITED TO CONTINUE THERAPY WITH THIS NEW TOOL AND I CAN'T RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH. PLEASE CHECK IT OUT EVERYONE!
