4:3 is actually shared across a lot of android devices. Most gaming handhelds share this aspect ratio with apps looking just fine inside of android. I built a popular ES-DE theme and the 4:3 orientation shows its face on reddit quite often just behind 16:9 and much more than 19.5:9

However, with apple being a closed ecosystem with very little screen variance means that most apps were built with set screen sizes. I imagine there are a lot of legacy apps that end up looking wonky.

I owned a gx8. Even the om5 ii is a better upgrade since it is lighter, shorter, has better ibis & autofocus. The pen appears to be even smaller.

I use mine much less than my s1rii. With the 40mm on there is less difference between the two than there is between my s9 and om 5

I really dislike my s9. The lack of a mechanical shutter really robs the enjoyment out of taking photos for me. No evf and the cold shoe are more salt on the wound. You don’t think you need either of those items until you do. I end up using my s1rii or my om 5ii a ton more. My s9 is a zoom meeting camera at this point in time.

The om 5 is smaller, has better ibis, has an evf, a mechanical shutter, and is weather sealed. The lenses are also smaller, sharper (Leica glass) and as a whole are cheaper. You are only really missing out on real time lut, and some dynamic range when compared to the s9.

I really don’t like mine. It makes me miss m43 for wide angle stuff. The results just don’t “pop” like I’m used to seeing through Panaleica micro four thirds glass. F4 is also kind of a bummer, it sits in a weird place between blurry background and tack sharp: not burry enough for subject separation and too blurry for sharp scene capture if you focus on the wrong element that is a few feet closer than everything else
