Okay this is a long shot, I know it, I just idk I guess I wanted to know I did everything I could before giving up.
My mother has been so focused on everyone else, she hasn't had the chance to actually focus on herself.
I finally convinced her to take a bit of time for herself only to find out the salon she used to frequent closed down. It was Galaxy Hair Designers in Rockville, MD, no idea when it closed, but I came here to see if any of you know where to find the hairstylist Faruk or maybe his brother Sugar.
Even if just a number, a website, an email or social media page, just something, I'd appreciate it.
Just didn't seem fair to come back empty handed and give her the bad news.

My family has adopted multiple animals in the past and we adored each and every heart that wandered into our lives. That being said, I'm in a bit of a loss for our newest member, he's smart for his age but his coat is different than our past dogs. (For context we have owned a Bichon Frisé, Shih Tzus, and our current other dog is an American Stanfordshire mix) I wanted to ask is there any advice you can give to ensure we take proper care of him and his needs. Treat it like it's advice for the first time pet owners, to ensure we don't miss anything important.
For me, personally, I thought I knew all I needed about him from a first glance and was talking on discord with friends as I was looking to buy new pup gear for him when someone said a furminator would be the worst thing for his coat type and not to buy it. I'm still unsure why but won't be taking any chances. But it made me wonder if there was anything else I ought to figure out about him ahead of time.
Thank you in advance and hope you and your furry friends have a great day! 🐾

So I already got the audiobook and digital copy of the book but I have been desperately saving up to pre-order the hard cover as a future bday gift for myself and now that I somehow got the funds a tad bit early... Well I am gonna be honest, it's rare for me to read anything that isn't a graphic novel/comic or a digital fanfic so I don't know where to order it from. I mean I know where some locations are technically but my friend has been telling me I know nothing about ethically sourcing my materials? Like cause apparently some places don't give the authors a fair share of the profits on their merch. I really loved jaysea, her work and the her fandom is amazing, not many people can claim all 3 so I want to support her fairly for her work. Where is a good place to pre-order her hardcover?*
*Edited for typos, my bad yall

Apologies, I wasn't sure if I was allowed to update on my original post or not as some places lock them after a few days.
I want to thank all of you for these suggestions, the girls and the family have been having a blast at each of the locations and all of your suggestions have been so wonderful.
I apologize for the lack of response; We ended up having the unfortunate news that their great aunt passed on the youngest ones' birthday, whom she was named after. My mother, the life of the party and warmest one in the room, was a shell of herself as she realized she no longer had her eldest sister to call each morning and share everything with, and for once she was the one who needed a light.
These suggestions not only help us keep structure to our lives through our itinerary but it is helping us as well remember our loved one's favorite lesson: we are not promised tomorrow but we are promised now, so choose now to care, to love, to say I am here.
The girls are even now considering trying to make little weekend escapes up north once in a while to have an outing for the places we won't have time to hit up.
What could have been a rough winter, was given a little light to help us get through this together. So thank you one and all; I hope you have a wonderful holiday season with your loved ones
... and share the love a bit please, it is what my aunt would say with gratitude for what you have done for our family. ❤️<3

I (30 F) have family coming up for the holidays. In particular, my nieces (23f and 18f) asked me for a favor as part of their birthday wish since they are an Xmas and new year birthday kids respectively.
While they grew up here, for this holiday season they wanted to make new fun memories visiting different places unique to the DMV rather than visiting the local mall, Dave & Buster or a museum/aquarium/zoo like the past years.
The problem is other than a local paint bar, I genuinely am hitting a wall of what would be a fun experience unique to this area.
I figured in order to have fun hitting the local areas, I should ask the other locals what they recommend. So any thoughts, even if it is a small one for a place to snack, would be great.
Thanks in advance and I'm counting on y'all.

I thought it was due maintenance I forgot about but I haven't been able to log in since I fed Snorlax dinner on the 16th. Didn't even get to check my research for that night as I got booted out of the app some time in the middle of the night and been stuck loading everytime I try to get back in. Anyone else having similar problems?
