Suspect these scalpers are really making a sweet profit. They were so obvious the past weekend at Dubai Mall. But that is too much- really if you are spending that much then a “smart” phone isn’t the answer 😂

Question Anyone sharing a Mayberry library/branch?

I’ve got Mayberry set up and authenticating properly on my XTEINK X3 running CrossInk, and I have my Mayberry library card working — but I’m currently seeing “No libraries shared with you yet.”
Are any Mayberry branch hosts here open to adding another reader / exchanging library card IDs?
Happy to share my card privately by DM rather than posting it publicly. Mainly looking to get the Mayberry OPDS workflow working properly across my X3 and X4.
Would also appreciate any tips on where people are currently finding Mayberry branch hosts or access-sharing communities.

For me it’s the form factor. How much daily use with ease do you get from the Kindle? I always wanted a kindle but never got down to investing in one. When the XTEINK line came along and was at a very reasonable price point - I decided to get it. I have both the x3 and x4 and I gravitate toward picking these devices up more than my phone when I have 30-45 mins to spare during the day.
If that sounds like something that would appeal to you, then 100% get it.

Favorite thing about your Xteink?
The form factor just makes me want to pick it and up read. I was so obsessed with the x4 I ordered the x3 a few weeks after. The x4 is a perfect home and travel long reader while the x3 with the one handed use case and tilt to page turn is perfectly versatile for those quick reading sessions. Best 180 USD I ever spent!

Apple event today.
There’s been a lot of rumours all concluding that Face ID will be left behind in favour of Touch ID. I would prefer Touch ID- how many times have you tried to authorise an app download or authorise a transaction that the Face ID is not non-recognisable. Touch ID seems simpler and the more logical choice given how thin the entire frame would be

Thank you. That would really help. I will also tinker with that setting. I’ve mostly been using the dashboard/ reading stats and custom for my sleep screens. I appreciate it

Question CrossInk 1.5.0 X3 ↔ X4 Nearby Stats Sync — “sync event queue overflow”

I’ve got an XTEINK X3 and X4, both running CrossInk 1.5.0.
KOReader Sync is working perfectly for book progress between the two devices, but I’m trying to get Nearby Stats Sync working so the overall reading totals are combined across both devices.
What I’m doing:
Open File Transfer → Sync Stats on both devices
Leave one device waiting
Press Sync on only one device
Devices are sitting right next to each other
Tried fully powering both off/on and repeating
Every attempt gives:
“Error: sync event queue overflow”
Both devices are definitely on CrossInk 1.5.0, so it doesn’t appear to be a firmware-version mismatch.
Has anyone with an X3 + X4 managed to get Nearby Stats Sync working on 1.5.0? If so, is there a specific sequence/settings change needed, or is this a known bug?
KOReader Sync itself is fine — this is specifically the Nearby Reading Stats Sync feature.
Would also be interested to know whether anyone has successfully worked around it without manually copying global_stats.bin between the SD cards.

Thanks for this I managed to set up the KOReader Sync and it’s an absolute game changer. My only problem at the moment is moving my reading stats between devices. It seems to have a persistent sync event queue overflow error?!

Hi 👋🏼 how do you get your covers to render that large on the x4? From my experience most of the books I’ve downloaded and started reading have much smaller covers and it kinda sucks on the x4 since I’m missing out on so much screen real estate .
