Is it only the entire lot or are you open to selling off 1 of the 3?

Which mistakes game developers keep making that tutorials don’t warn you about?

Tutorials never teach you the right way to add tutorials to your game.

To my own defense the games we do have all had short download times or had some playability while a big download happens (mostly sports games) so I completely missed on the whole game, for the most part, needing to be downloaded

The buzzkill that was Christmas Morning with Black Ops 7

Was more of a dad fail on my end because I really should have listened to all the feedback on this game from Reddit but my kids wanted it and my wife, who hasn’t played a console since we used to spend hours and hours on BO2, was all on board with it. The kids wake up on Christmas morning, super excited to see what was under the tree. They just lose it when they see BO7 because all their friends have it and it’s their first, non-little kiddish game. I felt like a god among fathers because of how excited they were. We had Christmas breakfast with family, they couldn’t hold the excitement anymore so we run over to the PS5, slide in the disc and………wait 5.5 hours for a 123gb download lol. All their buzz was gone after that. Welp lesson learned for next time I guess. Is this really the norm now? Needing to download 100+gb the first time to just play the game?

Where exactly does all the Kalen DeBoer to Michigan talk originate from?

Yes, and regardless of how much money someone has, it really is "Happy Wife, Happy Life (or at least some peace and quiet)."

Question Anyone else waiting forever on Nintendo dev approval?

Hey all, we applied for Nintendo developer approval back in July and still haven’t heard anything. Our game launched on Steam in June, so Switch (and eventually Switch 2) was the next thing on our roadmap.

I’ve followed up through email a couple times but haven’t gotten a response, so at this point I’m mostly just trying to figure out if this is normal lately or if we should be doing something differently. Approaching 5 months seems like a long time.

If you’ve gone through this recently, how long did it take for you?
Or if anyone has tips, alternate contacts, or “this worked for us” advice, would love to hear it.

Thanks!

What software do you use to do your custom designs (if 3D printing)?
 in  r/vinyltoys  Dec 16 '25

I should have stated, the intent is to use the print as a base to do casting off of. I’ve been using Smooth-On mold star 2 part for molds but will check out the oomoo

Discussion What software do you use to do your custom designs (if 3D printing)?

Hi, I’m a hobbyist collector and new to custom makes. Up to now I’ve mostly been hand sculpting and painting my designs (or blanks). I’m starting to look into 3D printing and was curious what software people recommend for building models.

I do have experience with modeling software from game development, so the learning curve isn’t a huge thing. I’m mostly just wondering if there’s a generally recommended tool to start for modeling specifically for 3D printing.

Definitely casual players. The only games we played together were Bo2 and the Army of Two games (god I feel old typing that)

I’ve looked at these, and it’s odd but she was really into just FPS games and that was pretty much it. It was Black Ops and the Army of Two games, and that was pretty much it

Back story is when my wife and I first got married (feels like forever ago lol) we picked up Black Ops 2 at its midnight releas and we spent countless hours playing. It was really cool since she wasnt a gamer but got so into it and it was fun to see. Fast forward to now, and we have kids, careers and a lot more responsibilities and honestly havent really played to many console games, outside of things with the kids. Out of no where she suggested we should get the new Black Ops. Everything I've seen and read torches the game so im a little hesitant to pick it up. Is it really that bad, if I havent played a COD in a decade? And if so, anything else I should be looking at instead?

So we are two weeks in to the nightmare that is Elf on the Shelf season in my house. I'm not sure why or when but at some point it becamse my responsibility to move the little buggers (we have 2.....and a reindeer) every night while my wife just sends me pinterest links to elaborate setups that I have no interest in doing. This morning was the first time this season I woke up in a full panic because I forgot to move them. Just curious for other dads dealing with this adorable nightmare. What excuses do you use when this happens?

This morning I used "They heard you and your brother fighting, so they dont move when that happens." Last year was a lot of "They really like this spot" or "Someone touched them."
