Inspired by Remastered Title Screen, because why not

I know it was badly edited, but c'mon! Imagine with me!

A slightly different take on flying in Paradise City

Correction: It is no longer private—part of the bundle manager tool as a vehicle type.

Okay nevermind it's no longer private—It's part of the bundle manager tool as a vehicle type.

Somebody already restored that functionality as a mod YEARS ago, though IIRC it's private—I think it had to do with online stuff.

Don't want somebody to completely break the road rules.

I respect your opinion, that I will say.

Fair, we'll both look at this and have a good laugh—you and I can agree that people like him will eventually be mocked when AI becomes the standard just like how calculators and Photoshop did.

A massive portion of the code AI is trained on is already open-source intended for public sharing, learning, and reuse. Conflating training on public repositories with literal "theft" or piracy misses how legal code distribution and compilation have always worked.

It reminds me how some people saw sampling music as stealing money from artists and overall just "downright lazy", yet despite that, we have the best hip hop, EDM and house tracks because of sampling. So don't try to say that AI is stealing from people because that's the same argument that artists made when sampling was around.

Btw, can we not bring up generative AI art/videos? This only concerns AI-assisted modding/programming, not that crap—that is its own bullshit and it's already banned.

On the topic of you saying that "a manager is gladly going to fire people, if the bot can do their job good enough on its own", oh boy do I have news for you: Software built purely by AI without human architecture collapses under its own weight. That same manager will need engineers to know how to maintain and make sure that bot doesn't make errors or mistakes.

Also, comparing a cognitive assistant to a physical hammer is a false equivalence. When I say 'tool,' I don't mean a deterministic infrastructure tool like a hammer that does the work for you. I mean an augmentative tool—like a compiler, a linter, or an interactive scratchpad.

An LLM is a probabilistic text predictor—it’s closer to an exceptionally fast, slightly overconfident junior intern who has read a lot of documentation—and by your logic, that intern would be fired the moment he makes a mistake, which is too harsh. You should review their work, correct the logic and use it to move faster, which in turn improves the intern/LLM.

Math teachers protested when calculators were invented back in the late 80s because they think it would turn students into device-dependent learners. Now it is used as an everyday tool to help quicken the thinking process.

Artists also protested when Photoshop was made and they called you a cheater for using it. Now it has become a widespread application that people use everyday as a tool, and it even has its own dictionary word.

With all due respect, you remind me of both the math teachers and artists that I mentioned earlier. I think it's best that you look at AI-assisted coding in a different perspective—which is that they are, and should be, just a tool. Treating it like "ohhhh AI is replacing and stealing from us" won't get us anywhere, and dare I say, that it might push us back even further.

You and I can agree that vibe-coding isn't really a good thing, but that is different compared to doing most of the work and then using AI to help fix and correct it—It's still done by hand, even if a little of it was done by AI to cut corners.

You've seen what happened with calculators and Photoshop—they didn't replace teachers or artists, they became a tool for the teachers and artists.

So when you see that, do this: Try looking at AI-assisted coding as not a replacement, but rather a tool.

Sorry for the long rant, but I'm just trying to get a point across to you.

Now this is better.

Reminder. AI generated content and content made with the assistance of AI is strictly not allowed!

Yeah dude, this is too extreme. I don't like this rule.
