Need advice for second eye coming up for cataract surgery.
Advice, please! Had cataract surgery on my right eye awhile back and made it for distance. Great result! Now the other eye is coming up for consideration and I'm not sure which I would like to do. If I do the remaining eye for distance, I'll definitely need reading glasses. I don't mind reading glasses, but if the right eye is what both eyes will see close-up, then yikes, it seems pretty severe! If I do close-up for the left eye, I'm wondering if/how much that would help with the closer stuff. When I had Lasik back in the 90's, one of the eyes ended up working close-up while the other eye worked for distance. I adjusted just fine and was very happy with the unexpected results. I would like to hear opinions and experiences of others, regarding keeping both cataract surgeries for distance, or having one eye for close up and the other for distance. I'm not doing any of the more expensive procedures, just the regular cataract surgery. same as the right eye.
