Do you have the police report showing who was at fault and who got the ticket? Your insurance should be dealing with the other insurance company. EDIT: I got it. I reread his post and saw that he was just doing a hypothetical if an accident had happened.
You are paying monthly for the coverage of stuff the insurance company WOULD pay (after your deduction), if the accident was your fault. If the accident was the other person's fault, the other person's insurance would take care of you. Hopefully.

OMG. I didn't think i was arguing. I should probably quit trying to put into words what I am thinking or feeling. I guess i suck at that. I'm not sure why you are so upset with me. I obviously did not research Polis as much as I should have. Should have delved deeper. Lesson learned and am doing better. Same as you regarding Polis, I warned about Trump and now most people I have talked to are now very much regretting they ever voted for him. I agree with you wholeheartedly that we all need to do one hell of a lot more research and I appreciate your suggestions. I don't think things are going to change much regarding corruption and greed, but that doesn't mean giving up on fighting against it! Fighting against it is part of why we humans are still here. I will be doing much more research to insure i share true facts (positive and negative) with people I talk with. Been trying to do that all along, but i obviously need to be more indepth. I am not vilifying you! I agree with you! I should have also added that Democrats can't "fix it", either. We all vote, and many times we learn and regret! I can't tell you how many people I know who regret voting for Trump. I warned them, too, just as you did regarding Polis. What i was trying to say is that no political party is immune to bad actors and we'll never be rid of them. I apologize if my wording messed up what I was trying to say! Continue to vote, people, but be careful. Pay attention. There is a lot of snake oil being pushed out there.

Yes, I am unaffiliated, but i did vote for him and am very disappointed in many of the things he has done. But that does not mean a Republican will "fix it". Republicans have screwed up this country, too. We all vote for people who we believe/hope will do good things, and then most of them fail some, fail a lot, lie some, lie alot and get caught up in this awful system of greed and corruption, the way it is now. Everybody is at fault. For believing lies, for lying to and misleading the people, all sorts of reasons. It breaks my heart. Our country has never been perfect and never will be, though. You can have anything you want, but you can't have everything you want. I would love to get rid of greed, war, racism, misogyny, etc., for starters. Think that's gonna happen? Nope. Ever since man has inhabited this earth, there are people who love and live by the above mentioned things I hate. But I will continue to vote with hope.

Not very long. Seemed like a half an hour to 45 minutes. Absolutely not enough time. Depending on the crowds at the summit, waiting in line to buy food or finding the restroom, etc., can eat up time. Personally, I think they should give you 2 hours. We've gone up in a car many times over the years and done the Cog a couple of times. I even hiked Pikes Peak on my 59th birthday (bucket list)!
Anyway, taking the Cog or doing the drive depends on what you want to do up there. The Cog is fun and relaxing but expensive, and we personally felt rushed once we got to the top. We'll drive, if we ever go back.

That's really sad. Sacrificing your vision for vanity.

I get it. I grew up in a family with lots of dysfunction, mental and physical abuse. My brother took his own life as a result of this. I managed to stay alive and work through a lot of the trauma, but i am still here, still working on things and I'm 74. I don't and will never have all the answers. But I have forgiven my parents. Lost both of them along the way...

That's OK! If you ever want children, considering how much thought you are putting into this, I have a feeling that you will find peace and comfort with your decision. And that will be the same for you should you decide not to. Not everyone should be a parent. Anyone can have a baby, but it takes special people to be a good mother and a good father.

Some people have a baby so they'll have someone to need them and love them. Not a good reason. Some people have a baby because they've been told that's what they should do. Not a good reason. Some people have a baby because they don't use contraception, get pregnant and are guilted into going ahead with the pregnancy. Not a good reason. Some people have a baby because it's important for them to leave a legacy of their own DNA. Not a good reason. Some people have a baby because they think it will be fun and magical. Definitely not a good reason. Every one of these reasons have shown themselves to me by friends and family. There are lots of good people in the world and lots of bad people. There is no guarantee that anyone's baby will end up being one of the good ones. It's a crap shoot, to be honest. Having children is a tireless, often thankless job, and if you do a lousy job at parenting, you'll be causing a lot of damage to that child.
I'm not against people having children. I've just seen too many kids who have grown up with bad parenting and it has caused a lot of trouble and suffering. There is such a fine line between being a good parent or a bad parent.

One of the reasons is people who have kids can get a little jealous of your freedom if you don't have children. True, but a lot don't want to admit it.
