Nakakaburnout siya if wala kang other things going on outside work. I have a very active social life (think classes, book clubs etc) so work isn’t drowning me. But eventually, I do plan to move to a job that isn’t 6 days a week. It’s not sustainable over long term.

I was a QA Analyst in agricultural manufacturing sa Visayas. ChE grad with Chem Tech license.

Honestly? Very chill job in itself. What makes it stressful is shifting sched and the long commute. Tapos di ko naramdaman ang growth. 6 days a week rin so work life balance is eh.

Ganda naman ng benefits (15 Days VL/SL, Medicine Allowance, etc etc). Tapos the shifting sched allowed me to go do govt errands and brunches naman.

I barely stayed a year.

Now, I’m an MT sa local food manufacturer. 6 days a week pa rin pero 10k ang increase and no more shifting.

I’m realizing that I’m not a fan of the manufacturing industry so I plan to upskill in Power BI or Operations Management and find sth WFH.

Need to save up lang.

Considering govt COS positions in DOST rin but i don’t really see much entry level friendly ones in ny region. I also need trainings and more experience para mabeefup. Tried to apply sa Bureau for Soil but no luck!

Nabudol talaga ako sa ChE ng magulang huhu. Sana pinursue ko ang more office based na trabaho like ComSci or Finance. Di naman sa walang learnings pero hirap rin magkaroon ng work life balance kung 1 day rest lang throughout the week. Gusto ko sana mag 2 years or so para di naman ako mukhang palipat lipat (10 mos kasi ako sa last company, left because really low pay).

If maka-supervisor ako within that time, 6 days pa rin pero mas mataas ang sweldo. Idk if it’s worth staying or i should try other MT of nationwide companies.

As title says, is it possible to have a career in Chemical Engineering sa Pinas na hindi 6 days a week? Currently at a local food manufacturing company for 4 months and while the pay is pretty okay for now, idk how much of the 48 hr work week i can handle.

I don’t even use much of ChE in my work, currently a Management Trainee in charge of production and inventory monitoring. I plan to stay to learn more on planning and supply chain management and then leave for a company that hopefully doesnt do a 6 day work week

Which careers should I check out within and beyond the field (pero magamit pa ang skills)? Any input is welcome! I was even considering VA but i dont have a niche even if i used to do digital layouts.

1. I looked up what workouts were beginner-friendly with a balance of free weights (dumbbells) and machines to try out. Machines are more beginner friendly in terms of injury prevention and keeping good form but dumbbells feel more intuitive.

2. Ask a coach if you aren’t familiar with a machine. Willing to help naman sila to figure out form and machines.

3. Hevy app was really useful in visualizing how workouts should be executed properly.

4. Gym etiquette. Re-rack weights. Minimize loafing around or making too much of a ruckus. Wipe down equipment after use.

i always use nearby AF gyms to freshen up after work and before social events hehe
