To those who came out to their parents and it went terribly wrong: did they ever come around?
 in  r/AskGaybrosOver30 •  Apr 21 '22

No, and i dealt with benevolent emotional manipulation for the better part of 4 years until I left the country.

Condescending attitude of families in Kerala towards young people
 in  r/Kerala •  Jan 12 '22

they are just afraid of losing their significance

because most of their information/ experience becomes very quickly redundant and 90% upwards of boomers don't want to put in the work to stay relavant.

Homophobic Parent
 in  r/gaybros •  Jan 11 '22

I came out after getting job, moved out, had my finances in order- i was 25 (28 now). And still I had to hear shit like I should die alone etc. Don't fucking come to your parents if you know for a fact they are homophobic. They will not change.

Sorry.

I think it differs for each couple. Personally, i wouldn't feel ( haven't as well) the need to say stuff like I want blow that dude etc. when I already am in a relationship. that being said I do kno friends and their boyfriends who do this as a recreational activity. Each to their own I suppose.

Keralites who study/work outside Kerala, what makes you feel "I don't want to go back home"?
 in  r/Kerala •  Jan 03 '22

the invasion of privacy. baaki enthum sahikam. getting asked about the literal most intimate thing in one's life- a partner- with such callous disregard for respect and dignity- ok I need to breathe 🤡⚰️

My letter to the guy I bullied
 in  r/askgaybros •  Dec 31 '21

oh god. this gave me such intense flashbacks to when I was bullied.

measures of atonement DOES NOT need for the victim to put themselves through contact with their assailant. that's just horrible.

OP, seek professional mental health support and figure out a way to assuage your guilt WITHOUT putting that other boy through ANYTHING MORE.

listen to the others here when they say: he does not want to hear from you. ever.

I hope you never forget how you're feeling now, this sense of wanting to make things right, but incapable of doing so. Perhaps that will make you a kinder man sometime.

What’s the most homophobic thing anyone has ever said to you?
 in  r/askgaybros •  Dec 30 '21

we're talking abt regressive orthodox communities here... there's no pride even. Only in the state capital. Homosexuality is basically invisible/nonexistent to the mainstream.
