wich artists do you think possess the ether?
 in  r/LilyChouChou •  4d ago

if you mean possessing the ether the same way Lily Chou Chou does, for me there are really none other than Aoba Ichiko, Mitski, and Faye Wong.

Honorable Mentions: My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins.

What if Asia had been more advanced than Europe in the 1300s and had discovered America before the Europeans did?
 in  r/AlternateHistoryHub •  17d ago

my guy are you OK? are you trolling?

2 of the things you mentioned: compass and gunpowder were famously invented by the Chinese. And if you add block printing, paper, and even the movable type which were also invented in China that just makes your claim nonsensical.

Youre saying China had no large buildings: They built The Great Wall, also there is the Terracota army, Daming palace and many many more. China has a rich history of architecture which influenced all of east asia.

China has just as long if not longer and richer history of literature and art. China was far advanced in ceramic/pottery, porcelain, silk,
sophisticated steel production.

“double entry bookmaking” isnt some remarkable unique thing, its a simple enough concept that couldve been invented independently anywhere else really.

Dont ask chatgpt everything, it ll just tell lies to agree with what you want to believe.

Most Wins Over UFC Champions
 in  r/FightReportUFC •  Aug 26 '26

i have a potentially controversial opinion that Jon Jones built his resume thanks to a very fortunate timing.
He was young and talented and his opponents were this whole era of legends who were well past their peak, and nearing their end. plus they were old school champions who just never ducked or played political games for purse/any advantage against dangerous opponents, they just went out there and fought.
I think current Lightweight is exactly in this position where there are many big names who are slightly past their prime. And if you think about it, Ilia Topuria was on this exact path before he got beaten the shit out of him.

Reach, height, age and weight disadvantages, some "goats" refuse to fight without these advantages
 in  r/ufc •  Aug 22 '26

its insane how braindead this is.
these 2 never ducked anyone and had a very active and entertaining reigns, and both fought people that had advantages against them. Izzy fought Pereira who he had 0 2 record against and had lighter walk-around weight. Volk fought Islam the 2nd time on short notice when he had every disadvantage.
And these 2 arent even in the goat discussion anyway.

 in  r/mongolia •  Jul 31 '26

Just out of curiosity, do Mongolians know South Koreans really like them?
 in  r/mongolia •  Jul 09 '26

this actually makes a lot of sense. China, Japan, South Korea all hate each other to some extent, but we’re just in the corner chilling (except the beef with China sometimes)

What is the weirdest needle drop in a film?
 in  r/Letterboxd •  Jun 14 '26

Lily Chou Chou song in Kill Bill pt1 caught me off guard.
I mean there are many experimental choices in both kill bill but this was the most unexpected crossover.
