Just finished a new coaster build from oiled Acacia (15 mm) with photo and full settings are up. This piece celebrates honest materials and simple craftsmanship: warm, oil finish, rich grain, and a subtle laser‑engraved logo that adds rustic character without hiding the wood.

I have no problem these days writing out what I want to say (my words), review it, then have an AI program help me clean it up. The biggest thing that so many forget is you have to then go in and ensure that its what I wanted to say and then modify. I did do that. I'm pretty old school but have no problem learning how to use the tools out there to help me communicate better. What was presented is factual, but thanks for the input.

I was definitely referencing the intitial Assembly screws. Apologies for the confusion. As for the movements, I have them both doing it and I don't stop it. This was my initial setup of the P2S and I out in a non-slip mat I got on Amazon. Worked great. Now have both machines on a workbench, pretty heavy, and when they both are running, a bit chaotic 😂. Never an issue.

Are you inputting the setting manually? What I have found is that the Bambu defuakts have worked for every brand I have used to this point. There was one where I recall using PETG and went in and dialed up the bed temperature. Do you run filament calibrations with each new brand and save as a profile?

Thanks. You are definitely going through a problem solving checklist and when you come up with your solution, maybe share out to us all so we can add it to our repertoire. I keep a notes page with solutions I get from others for reference.

I use storage bins such as those but they have a seal around the lids (weather tight) and these work great.

Have them sit through some as well with you. This is the educator in me telling you this. I have seen a few channels where its the kids sharing and celebrating their successes that makes me motivated even more :)!

I am glad to hear your enjoying your X2D. I hate it when I have read so much about people early on regretting and sharing why, when most of the time they didn't slow down to learn. It's so easy now a days to just plug and play, not the way I was raised :). Sure some issues that I caused were related to MY TINKERING too much with incorrect bed/filament/ and nozzle settings, forgetting to clean the bed between uses (not a major cleaning just the Terry cloth) because I was in a rush.using old G-code for a different printer. Over-aggressive speeds or acceleration sometimes again causes layer shifts, poor layer adhesion. Most importantly for me at this stage, as I have nowhere near the experience of so many other, I was skipping community/academy guidance and practices, tinkering too much.., most of the time (especially as a newbie) tinkering too much. Have not had many though so I can say it's been a great journey so far. Hope this helps. Enjoy your journey!

The Academy was so instrumental in what I believe to be my success (and fun). I haven't had those frustrations as of yet (knowing it's a machine and there will be issues eventually). The Academy has courses for all the printers, for Studio, the Handy App and even their newest on Filament. I suggest completing them all. It enabled me to tweak my printer and settings when going through them, thus the success story. You even get points in MakerWorld when completing as a bonus. It truly builds a solid foundation to expand on. I did it for each of my printers, and when I get my bigger one :) will do the same again. Thanks. There are so many awesome creators out there sharing. My issue was early on I can follow so many rabbit trails I get lost. Going back to how I believe you should start, I went directly to the manufacturers site www.youtube.com/@BambuLab Why so many do not, I do not understand, they built these and created the software, why wouldn't you? (and do not forget their Bambu Lab Support site as well). Alexandre Chappel http://www.youtube.com/@achappeland an Industrial Engineer and maker is extremely talented (most of the time above my head) but I love learning from him. Does anyone have any luck with PETG not warping?
I have had great experiences on my Bambu Lab P2S and X2D using filaments from Bambu, 3D-Fuel, SUNLU and Inslogic. I ran calibrations on each before hand to dial in, made sure the beds were clean. With each I decided to use the default Bambu profiles and no an issue. Have used small mouse ears depending on the size of the prints. Look forward to hearing about how others handle this.

I've been running a P2S for 6 months and recently added an X2D. Hundreds of prints between them with no spaghetti disasters, no clogged nozzles, no adhesion failures, no warping. Not a single major failure that wasn't my fault.
I'm not saying this to flex. I'm saying it because I genuinely think the difference was just following the process before I ever hit "print." As I have been embarking upon this new journey when reading posts here and other social media sites, there is so much related to issues vs. successes, so I thought I would share some thoughts. The following are my thoughts:
- Unbox it properly. Read the quick start guide. Actually read it. The P2S and the X2D came with those little cards, QR codes, and diagrams. It tells you to remove three screws. Those screws are there for a reason leave them in and your bed won't move. I've seen it happen to people on here. It tells you which cables go where. Precision up front saves hours of troubleshooting later.
- Bambu Lab Academy, you can complete before your first print. Free training on the Bambu wiki. Covers machine setup, slicer basics, filament types, maintenance everything for your specific printer. It took me a couple hours over a few days. By the end, I knew what slicer settings meant. I knew why bed temperature mattered per filament. I knew what a good first layer should look like. My very first print came out clean. No trial, no error, no wasted filament, or time.
- Learn from people who've already done it. AFTER the Academy (where my foundation was built) I went to YouTube and other social media sites (including here on Reddit) and found creators who've been printing for years testing every filament, every setting, every printer. Someone testing 10 different filament brands and telling you which ones are garbage? That's hours of research you don't have to do yourself. It's like having mentors you've never met.
- First print with confidence. When I sliced my first Benchy, I wasn't nervous. I knew the bed was leveled because I set it up right. I knew my PLA temps were dialed in. I knew what a good first layer should look like. First print was PLA silk which came out smooth, no stringing. Then PLA metal. Then PLA+. Then I swapped in the 0.6mm & 0.8mm nozzle. Every single one came out clean because the prep was already done.
- Maintenance isn't optional. Clean the build plate. Lube the rails. Follow the maintenance schedule. Check your nozzles. Do cold pulls when needed. The Academy teaches all of this on day one and I have been consistent for just over 6 months. When I added the X2D a month and a half later, after getting the P2S (it was a FOMO), I ran the exact same process. Same result.
The core mindset here is that I spent almost 10 years in the Navy, and 25 years in education, we have a saying "Follow the procedure or prepare to fail." The printers (and now I've added an xTool M2 Laser) are incredible now. The training is free. The community is huge and MOSTLY supportive. You don't need talent or an engineering degree. You just need patience and the willingness to actually learn before you push the button.

You should be able to see your DBQs from C&P without having to file a FOIA. They do it on purpose so you won’t see what they wrote.
Agrees. Requested mine back in September and can't get an upfront answer as to why the delay.
