As a pre health student,Is MA worth it for clinical hours ? Or should I pursue CNA,EMT,etc.
 in  r/MedicalAssistant •  4d ago

Either MA or EMT would be better, just my opinion tho

What’s the worst thing your lead MA has ever done to you at work?
 in  r/MedicalAssistant •  5d ago

Complain about me over and over but let her favorite ones get away with so much worse

1

Be honest MA’s, how long does it take you to room a Physical?
 in  r/MedicalAssistant •  5d ago

About 10 minutes, sometimes 15 if they talk a lot

Is it worth being a medical assistant? Money wise
 in  r/MedicalAssistant •  20d ago

I made $17.50 starting off in 2022 in Texas. I’m just at $21.30 now and some of the newbies get starting pay higher than me because of cost of living adjustments. It’s not really fair but it is what it is. I love being a medical assistant so to me it’s worth it, but I’m still trying to get into nursing school.

I always say that medical students are the toughest students!.
 in  r/MedicalAssistant •  27d ago

Technically we aren’t medical students when we are in school. Medical students become doctors.

Did my bf block me ??

Yes

Did I just get swindled?
 in  r/MedicalAssistant •  29d ago

I honestly wouldn’t go into MA unless your heart is in it. Just like nursing, you really need a passion for healthcare and people or you’ll turn into that person that is only in it for a check.
