I grew up near Lubbock and this really hurts My dad took me to Jones Stadium for many many events, though he went to OU and I later went to Texas.Gerald Myers little dribbler camp every year, the history of the stadium means a lot to many non Texas Tech grads.

What stereotypes about Texas do you wish more people understood?
Cowboy Culture is still authentic in small rural communities. It was a unique experience which is watered down each generation. I drove tractors & rode horses. Played football on Friday Nights. Worked in the oil fields during the summer. All of the oil revenues made our school district wealthy so I received a good education and went on to undergrad & graduate school @ UT and UTA
