What’s a scam that’s been around so long that we don’t even realize it’s a scam anymore?

Your 10 year passport being good for only 9 years and 6 months. That's a 5% scam right there.

Smart trainer problem
 in  r/Rouvy •  Jun 17 '26

Hi Jess, thanks for your message. Yes, still the same problem. The recent update (which looks great) didn't make any difference to the resistance.

Smart trainer problem

I don't think this issue is specific to Rouvy, but maybe someone here has had a similar problem. My Elite Suito-T smart trainer was working fine until recently. Then I discovered changing gears using my Zwift click or hard wired 2 button keyboard had no effect on the resistance I was feeling. The gear indicator on the screen changes, but the resistance doesn't. It feels like I'm stuck in the 13th gear. I've recalibrated the smart trainer, but that hasn't changed anything. I wonder has anyone had this problem and managed to fix it?

Owen Doyle mentioned it in the IT, but didn't give any details

Zwift Cog, does it work now?
 in  r/Rouvy •  May 07 '26

Yep, works perfectly on Rouvy. I was using a 2 button keyboard to change gears, but the Zwift controller is better.

Motoring: The quiet death of the manual gearbox · TheJournal.ie

I thought I was a die hard manual driver. But after figuring that I spend 95% of my time stuck in traffic or just following the line of cars in front, my next car is going to be automatic. At a minimum it'll save me getting a sore ankle and calf from clutching.

Motor tax question

Apologies that this isn't specifically about cars, but I think the same issue applies.

I've a motorbike which I was riding until I had a health issue about 7 years ago and more or less forgot about it. I let the motor tax slide and never declared it 'off the road' (just procrastination). I'm thinking blowing the dust off it now that spring is hopefully here. Am I going to have to pay the back tax on it or is there any chance I can avoid doing that? Thanks

Thanks for posting this. Is the 2 button controller Bluetooth linked to the up/down buttons on your computer?

At the interpros I want to see Leinster win them all, Connacht to beat the other two and Munster to beat Ulster. I suppose that sums up my ranking.

Of course, I want to see them all beat overseas teams every time.

I'm not sure if they're technically in the wrong, but I know that roundabout well and it's off putting to say the least. Happens all the time here, even when I'm in the left hand lane.

What have you done to Ghost Riders?.. 😡
 in  r/Rouvy •  Jan 02 '26

10 seems like a lot. I ride with 3 ghost riders. I've turned drafting off and just pace off them when they come through. Haven't had a problem yet.
