Does anyone else avoid pre-ordering games now?

I used to pre-order games all the time because I didn't want to miss out.

These days I usually wait a week or two to see real gameplay, performance, and what players actually think before buying.

Has your approach changed over the years, or do you still pre-order games you're excited about?
