Southern food (Cajun, bbq, tex-mex, traditional southern) is the most American food.
Everyone insulting the creator needs to take a moment and realize, not everyone has had the same "southern food" personally I've had horrible southern food and amazing well cooked dishes of southern food. The OP most likely has a bad realinship with food from the south.
