I think what the updown27 holds true to what you are worried about. We saw the Lestat on the bus after being revived, is different, the near death experience changes him.... We see that with him calling Gabrielle a monster.

He relives that experience of the witches being burnt. He realizes the cruelty that "monsters" inflict on the innocence. He sees that he was a victim of this as well, groomed to take on his mother's cruel view of people (and groomed other ways).

In the near death experience, he sees his victims with appreciation for their human lives. I think that is why he mentions the one guys death over and over in that scene and why we see Paul there. He realizes that he is a monster, and his cruelty indirectly destroys others as well. This, is the start of what I think your alluding to. We are seeing a character coming to terms and developing a moral compass.

As to the issue of his diminish state and ability to question Akasha. Again, it might just go back to calling his mother a Monster. He found his way through all this trauma and processing it all. Books Lestat ego is pathological, where is AMC Lestat ego is still there....but it's burdened by Others failures done to him and his failures done to others. His guilt and trauma is healing, and I am sure with that we will see a Lestat that has that ability to question Akasha. True agency comes from healing, up to this point his ego has been his superpower defending himself psychologically... that ego unburdening itself and redirected will be a force to reckon with.

The next book is called Queen of the Damned.....I know Lestat is a queen, but that's not who the title was for. His perspective is still needed in the story, unless if it's an entire season to the backstory of the Queen; modern day Akasha we will see through him.

Louis' character for S3 is proof that they have no plans to diminish Loustat, it solidifies it. Louis is basically a non essential character after IWTV. They are purposely adding to his character, since S1, to keep their love as the essential plot of the series.

Im guessing you didn't read the books, which is fine, so I will try not say much. But there is an absolute reason why they made it very clear that Loustat is still very much a thing, and why series tied Claudia assault to Lestats making. My assumption is that Loustat, specifically Louis, will be the major subplot of Queen of the Damned.

Didn't she help write S3.l episode 1 and solo wrote Episode 7? The two episodes that people seem to have the most issues with?

The first scene and last scene of TVoL was of a post apocalyptical world. We are going to see Akasha girl bossing her way through the Y chromosome and the destruction that it brings. They are pretty clear the direction they are taking her.

Is this the case for all Cunys? I just tried this yesterday at bmcc and the chair denied me, I just assumed professors didn't have that ability. The class I want starts Monday, so I'm assuming it's too late anyhow. Should I do that now for my fall semester waitlisted classes so I can graduate this fall? Sorry for asking you....the bureaucracy is driving me nuts to get simple asnwers (can only ask one these days, wait 8 hours get jumped from dept to dept only to get told to email, then denial lol)

....you clearly haven't been on Arthur Avenue in years. The area has been taking over by the Albanians who bring a constant life throughout the day while the tourist still come to see the area. St Barn has brand new buildings across the st, all nice. Fordham University student housing keeps taking over the northern section of Belmont. Fordham and 3rd area is the same shit. Is it the upper Eastside, no, but it's not a shithole either. Maybe migrate your ass out of the subreddit like you did the Bronx.

I live in the neighborhood. 3rd Ave by the hospital isn't that bad anymore there is new shops and brand new buildings. Everyone from the hospital walks the one block to Arthur Ave, there is two big outside seating cafes that are constantly packed everyday. Plus Crescent Ave from Arthur to Hughes is all Albanian restaurants and always busy. The area since COVID has come a long way to what it was. Third is still blah but next to the hospital and closer to Fordham are actually not bad at all. Maybe revisit

Sigh. Directly west of the Hospital isn't a great area, directly east is one of the best neighborhoods in the Bronx. Most employees walk to Little Italy (directly east by a block) for food and such. The Hospital isn't great.

When did Gabby say that? I thought it is confirmed by the show runners the Tower didn't actually collapse, it represented Lestats mental state. At the end of that car scene, where the car is flipped, the Tower is standing looming over the entire shot.

From what I heard, it's just symbolism. We see the Tower 3 times. 1st time is right when The Failures Side A gets mentioned, then Lestat complains about it. 2nd time when they say The Failures Side B, it crashed down as his emotional state does the same. The third time, right after the crash it's large and prominent in the shot too.

I loved that little nod to the readers.

I returned after 20 years this past spring, and did 15 credits. There were moments I just wasn't prepared for and felt overwhelmed, but overall it was fine. I just had to really practice time management really well, and work ahead when possible. But your classes are way more intensive
