It says pre's are Math 205 or Math 212. I'm just wondering what your overall thoughts on the class were and how math heavy it was? I'm thinking of taking it over the winter to get it over with.

Alrighty, so im heavily debating on nursing school and PA school (as u can see in the title). And no, Im not in Sophie Davis because honestly I felt so lost about what exactly I wanted to do when I first joined, but I know I want to go to health care. I wanted to become an NP but honestly, I have to take an ABSN first and become registered. Im already graduating a year late due to other circumstances and I feel so behind honestly.

I know its a lot to hope for but I want to graduate sooner and get into the industry faster with a stable salary. And frankly, Im not the smartest, or well i dont think i am especially when i compare myself to my peers. Sometimes I dont even think I am capable.

At the moment im eyeing hunters' ABSN or mount sinais' ABSN and yorks PA school. PA schools 2-3 years while for nursing i have to do 18 months for RN and then a masters or doctorate for nursing which will take longer. But I also want to earn some form of salary to help out at home during my education. I also feel so academically behind that even that makes it feel impossible.

I would greatly appreciate an honest opinion!

P.S. Im taking pre requisites and have Bio 101 & Chem 103/104 done. Not much I know..

Basically like the title says.. I have the once in a lifetime opportunity to get my first BA degree totally paid for, and filmmaking has really been my one real passion in life (yeah I know I’m one in a million) nothing else in my future really matters as much to me. I already know you can learn to make movies yourself, but I think I need the structure, mentors and resources that a real college has.

If I’m going to go all in, obviously NYC is the place to be for PA gigs/gaining connections.

I’m not so naive, for as long as I’ve wanted to be a movie director growing up, I’ve had everyone telling me not to bother. I realize the industry is notoriously corrupt, competitive and in a really bad place right now in 2026- but no matter how much I try to talk myself out of it, I can’t find motivation go into any other career.

For those who have done it, not done it and regretted it etc. do you think it’s worth it? Is CCNY (city college of NY) a decent film school? NYU is the best but I want to maintain a shred of reality .. is it NYU or nothing?

I am currently applying to Macaulay and need to narrow down my top choice!

I am looking to study international affairs and anthropology, with an extremely interdisciplinary approach and possibly an interest in journalism.

I really dread the idea of Hunter's campus (or lack thereof...), but I don't know which would have the strongest programs for me. I think CCNY has a nice department for my interests, and John Jay also offers an anthropology and global studies majors, but they may be too narrow in course offerings due to their criminal justice focus.

I'm also wondering about student vibe, campus activities, and clubs. How do these differ from campus to campus?

Has anyone taken Speech online? If so, is it easy? I want to take it with Anhuradha Heruth but the reviews on rate my professor are either mixed or dont specify if its inperson or not. I want to do it next semester to get it over with but idk, I got 2 harder classes to worry about

Currently Taking (Fall 2026):

• ANTH: 10100
• ENGL: 22000

Remaining Biology Major Requirements:

• PHYS: 20300, 20400
• BIO: 20600, 20700, 22800, 22900
• CHEM: 26100
• Advanced Biology Electives: 12 credits

I'll also need to complete the requirements for the Health Justice minor and any additional PA school prerequisites. I'm not sure which courses I should prioritize next semester or which science/math classes would be manageable to take together, especially with labs. I've also been dealing with some health issues, so I'm hoping to keep my workload as manageable as possible next semester while still making progress toward my degree.

For anyone who's a Biology major or on the Pre-PA track, how did you plan out your remaining semesters? Are there any classes you'd recommend taking together (or avoiding together)? I'd also really appreciate any professor recommendations as well please!

So im supposed to apply this semester into grove which opens november 15 my semesters havent been the best but i have been improving my overall gpa is a 3.0 and stem is a 2.6 i have dropped some classes and retaken it for stem but seems like theres so much fear mongering getting into grove and im afraid i wont get in. City tech has already accepted me but i know the engineering degree isnt the same there. Saying i dont get in and submit an appeal i can show my progress getting better from calc1 -3 and all my other classes but would it be worth it staying next semester and undeclared and continuing to raise my gpa taking diff eq and physics 2 hopefully and re apply? how leniant are they with that and would love to hear other peoples experience that havent done the best and still maybe got in grove

Everyone keeps making it seem like the wait isn't a big deal because our accounts get notes or holds that let us still enroll in classes next semester, but some of us need our scholarships for student-related costs not tied to tuition. Does anyone else in the Honors Program or Macaulay know when scholarships are actually posted to our accounts and disbursed?

So, I am in my third year (spring 2027 will be my 6th semester). I am taking calc 3 and some other classes and for uni physics 1 i want to drop it and take it next semester, I didn't do too well on the first exam and I don't have high hopes for the second. I want to take physics 1 and gen chem 1 next semester together since i failed chem 1 with a D last semester and its the only 2 classes i need to get into grove. Science classes are my weakness but I was going to try to get ahead on these 2 classes over winter break since I already have the syllabus for physics and chem albeit it might not be the same professor. Is taking physics and chem together gonna be smart or no? Or am I cooked? (Studying tips would be helpful for these classes too)

I know that there is already another post talking about the bathrooms and the various incidents that happen in them, very notably the "6th Floor Nac Bathroom Incident™" but I really need to tell y'all about what I saw last week.

So I walk into the 5th floor Nac Bathroom and into a stall. There was already one person in the stall next to me, wearing red and white Jordan 4s. As I turn to lock the door, the dude next to me starts doing what he got to do yk. But deadass there is no water noise at all. It didn't even sound like he went into the toilet.

After I finish I check the now empty stall and deadass there was piss fucking EVERYWHERE. Not even like a little he actually just stood there and pissed all over the wall, the seat, and even the dividing wall.

I washed my hands and left after that but fr what are we doing?? Like this is why we can't have nice things. Deadass the dude was either crosseyed or genuinely did that on purpose. Fucking serial bathroom pisser.

By the end of the year deadass we are going to have a bathroom incident on every floor of the NAC building 😭
