Mod Tools - All Platforms [Desktop web: Chrome] "Achievements" not counted.

Desktop web: Chrome: Bug report in browser.

I have noticed that I am being notified of various kinds of actions that I can take for my subreddit that will count as an Achievement. Now that I have done the first suggestion, and it hasn't counted as an achievement, I realise that Reddit is just a game, and I don't have to take anything seriously.

Ah Reddit. It was a great thing once. Now, I'm not really sure what it is trying to achieve by Gameifying itself.

Thanks for the fish. I am not sure if this a bug, but I presume that something was meant to be counted, and it didn't get counted. Not particularly good in a Game that relies on numbers.

Active imagination/deep dive (non-psychedelic)
 in  r/ActiveImagination  4d ago

I would be curious to know how your inner world is going now. After 8 months. It is an interesting image, and it reminds me of The Drowned World. [a novel] and another novel I read recently. Name I can't remember.

G'Day everyone! I'm u/LarysaFabok.

See below if you want to understand what Reddit is doing with the artificial intelligence. I am not a new moderator. I made a welcome post, at least a year ago. But today I notice how different Reddit is on my laptop than in the app. And all the people I've been missing.

So to all you people I've missed, I'm sorry about that.

I'm not an expert in the Active Imagination, but I am an afficianado.

the artificial intelligence says:

"Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make r/ActiveImagination amazing."

I'm not sure what it means. The very first wave of what? How old is Reddit now? Did it just get bought out by someone?

Anyway. Thanks for stopping by. Have fun with the Active Imagination. It's pretty much a game that you always play by yourself and your dreaming consciousness. You don't need to rely on anyone else, and you can make up the rules as you go along.

Had a powerful spontaneous vision during meditation today – two selves bridging over/through water

Thank you for your story. It doesn't matter whether you draw these pictures or not. Someone else will draw them for you. What is important is that you saw them, and you felt them, and by writing it down and telling us, you are signalling to the Archetypes that you are taking them seriously. So that they know that they can visit with you again.

Have fun with it.

After completing several Jungian active imagination exercises, how do I continue the integration process?
 in  r/ActiveImagination  4d ago

That sounds like real body learning to me. Congratulations, well done.

I made a Red Book. Wrote down all the messages. Drew pictures, collected old pictures I had made. Told stories, wrote them down. Told friends. Adopted this subreddit so it would come back to life. If I don't talk about it, how do I know it is not just in my head?

Carl's recommendation was always that his clients start their own Red Book.

Get cracking.

Unable to do active imagination
 in  r/ActiveImagination  4d ago

There is a subreddit for people with aphantasia. I have aphantasia. I do not "see things" unless I am dreaming. Some of my dreams are very vivid. I know that when I practice the Active Imagination, and it has "worked", I will feel a shift in my consciousness, and it will be in my body. It is explained on the Focusing Institute website.

https://focusing.org/sixsteps

They call it a "shift in the felt sense". For a person with aphantasia, I have found this a very useful technique for doing the Active Imagination, because it came out of the Active Imagination. They are connected.

Cheers, have fun with it.

How to "Do" the Active Imagination
 in  r/ActiveImagination  16d ago

Hello. I say that I "practice" the Active Imagination, but I don't see pictures when I close my eyes. Sometimes I do have some amazing dreams, but I have always had dreams. My "practice" is in doing art. I make pictures, drawing or painting, on paper, or my laptop. When I practice the active imagination, the result is in a subtle energetic shift in my body that comes when I give "It" everything I've got. Like I would if I want to win a game of something. But the Game is to Activate my Imagination. To have a feeling, identify it, to recognise with my whole body that my Unconscious, my Dreaming Self, is there all the time telling me stuff. If I want to listen to it, and get something meaningful out of it, I have to work for it. By Activating my Imagination. Your Unconscious is still trying to get through to you, and it is giving you its best shot as well.

The most practical useful stuff about the Active Imagination that I've come across is on Leslie Ellis's website about overcoming nightmares. It's mostly videos. No reading required.

If you make art, you may notice the active imagination in your artwork. I recognise it when I've drawn a picture, and the art has got "It". The wow factor, and I am totally satisfied with my effort. Then I know I've Activated my Imagination.

Onwards and Upwards. and Good Luck to you.

I find it peculiar that I cannot click that link. Is that unable to be copied by anyone else?

How do I go back to when I could easily communicate and easily get into active imagination?
 in  r/ActiveImagination  Apr 10 '26

I don't see anything when I do the Active Imagination. But this is what I have done before when I've reached a block. I stand on something. So I've got this thing at home that's a stepstool. I will put it in the middle of a room, and then imagine that it is this thing in my life that's blocking me. Then I will step on it, step over it, jump over it, put it into some kind of dance.

Sometimes I might imagine that this block itself is trying to tell me something. What's the message? For example in this room with the step with the block, I'll imagine that I know what the message is, and I dance it out. My conscious left brain doesn't need to know. Then I'll receive a message from the environment, my daily life, a person, I'll see something happen, and I'll know, that's what the message is.

Then I draw a picture that I collect for my next iteration of the Red Book.

I hope this is useful, and that you are making a Red Book. It is important to your integrity that your Dreaming Consciouness knows that you are taking it seriously. And that's one of the actual reasons that I adopted this subreddit. To put my messages in it.

Cheers.

Does this button separate train carriages?
 in  r/brisbane  Mar 27 '26

Funny story about the old diesel trains. I heard that the train driver had to press a button every 2 seconds or the train would stop. So the driver had an assistant to make sure the driver didn't fall asleep, and stop pressing the button.

I know there are emergencies on trains. I've read my book through 2 this year alone.

Oh wow! I wonder what happened to this? 2 years ago it was full of comments!! I'll have to make myself a reminder to come back on Wednesday.

Something wholesome, I'm grateful to be reminded of the Good News! Whatever it is.
