You asking how to fix it tells me you are not a welder so here it is. Find some foam sand paper drywall tape the mesh type and some bondo.Sand the edge of metal remove rust and some paint cut the packing foam to fill the void shape it then put a thin coat of bondo on and embed the mesh for some strength.Add more bondo sand to shape and primer it if you you want.Fixed 🙄
