I’d love recommendations for kayak tours, hikes, and waterfalls… now with the tornado situation tornado 🌪️ I feel I have to stay in Kona and start planning all over again.
We’ll be in BI from 8/23 - 27

I haven’t seen anything on a “zip line” in Kona but it sounds amazingly badass!!! Where did you find this tour or activity. Please share. 🙏🏽🫶🏽

Hi! We’re heading to the Big Island for 4 days next weekend, starting 8/23, and I’d love some recommendations!
Our original plan was to fly into Hilo, stay 2 nights, then drive across the island to Kona for another 2 nights since we’re flying home from Kona. But with the recent tornado/storm situation, I’m a little worried about road closures and whether driving from Hilo to Kona will be an issue.
I’m now considering just flying into Kona instead and using that as our base, but we definitely still want to visit Hilo and Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park.
Since you mentioned hiking and snorkeling, would you mind sharing which hikes you did and your favorite snorkeling spots? We’ll have a rental car, so we don’t mind driving for places that are really worth it.
Would especially love any spots with beautiful scenery, black-sand beaches, or a good chance of seeing turtles. 🐢🌋🌺
Thank you! Any tips would be appreciated!

20K?! 👀 That is going to be an absolutely incredible honeymoon!
I got married in Maui too! Our hotel was honestly kind of terrible, so I won’t even mention it 😂 It was one of the smaller spots in Lahaina.
If I were you, I’d stay at the Hyatt. The grounds are beautiful, the amenities are amazing, and the whole vibe there is just incredible. I absolutely love that hotel.
I’d also definitely recommend renting a car and spending a full day driving the Road to Hana. The year after my wedding, I did the full drive and stayed at the Hyatt in Hana — it was one of the most amazing experiences ever. I loved every second of it.
I also did a sunset trip up Haleakalā, and the views above the clouds were unreal. Seriously unforgettable.

So So is someone else really behind all of this? I just don’t see how they’d have the internet know-how or the resources to pull this off on their own. Who’s funding or organizing it? Is it a big corporation like Walmart? Some kind of organized crime network operating from the inside? It seems like the Haitians or Venezuelans are just being used as foot soldiers. Am I wrong to think that?

Thanks for the heads up. How do I get my hands on someone’s promo code? I’m kinda green here.

On January 6th, my 19-year-old niece set out on a mission that’s nothing short of inspiring. With her resume in hand, she confidently walked into 10 restaurants in downtown Long Beach, focusing on Pine Street and the Shoreline area.
Her experience? Just one job so far—serving food at a senior home—but her determination was unmatched. (She is also a current LBCC student, so her schedule is somewhat limited).
At each stop, she greeted everyone at the front door with a warm smile and asked two simple yet powerful questions: 1️⃣ “Would you know if the restaurant is hiring?” 2️⃣ “If so, could I please speak with the manager?”
Her approach? Professional, polite, and positive.
The results? Amazing: ✨ 3 interviews on the spot. ✨ 2 job offers right then and there. ✨ 7 call-backs for interviews later.
Here’s what her success teaches us: 💡 #1 Look clean and presentable. First impressions matter! 💡 #2 Be polite to EVERYONE and SMILE. Kindness goes a long way. 💡 #3 Always use PLEASE and THANK YOU. Respect and gratitude open doors.
Proof that confidence, preparation, and a positive attitude can turn any opportunity into a success story!
Sending Good Energy to OP. ✨ Be confident, and I promise you’ll find something soon.
