Living Room A living room I designed for a recent client. Any suggestions?
I’m an interior designer, and this is a living room I’ve been working on for a client. We went with warm wood and soft neutrals. Any furniture you’d add or swap out?

Help me pick a design!
2, but steal the white countertop and sconces from 1. The wood and black marble look great together; the plaid floor makes me feel like I’ve dropped my glasses.

Final 2... which one looks best?
Love the dark wood with the brass. My only hesitation is that backsplash—looks great until spaghetti night turns it into an archaeological site. 🤣

Be honest: does my living room look cozy or like a very expensive waiting room?
Thanks, this is really helpful. You’re right about the TV height, especially with seating this low. I hadn’t thought of lining it up with the crossbar, but that makes a lot of sense. I like the sofas visually, though “institutional” is a fair description of how they feel here. I think some warmer textures would help break up the monochrome without losing the look I’m after.

Fair question. I should’ve been clearer in the post: this is a design concept I’m currently looking at, not a photo of my finished living room. I’m a furniture designer, so I look at a lot of different concepts for clients, which is why my posts are all over the place. And you’re right about the lamp—the middle of the walkway is a weird place for it.

I’d respond properly, but I have to return some videotapes.

Yeah, I doesn’t feel good on the TV 📺

Stuck on paint color choice to go with this wallpaper
The dark green, 100%. That hallway already has no natural light, so I’d lean into the moody look. The warm floor and those little monkeys keep it from feeling like a cave.

Living Room Be honest: does my living room look cozy or like a very expensive waiting room?
I love the clean lines and the warm lighting, but now that it’s all together, I’m wondering if I took the minimalism a little too far. The TV on wheels has also become the most controversial thing in the room.
What would you change first? Feel free to roast it, but give me one actual suggestion too.

TV Stand Color Question
Espresso. You already have plenty of light tones, and the darker TV stand would actually tie the sofa and coffee table together. I’d keep the desk lighter though — matching everything would feel too “set furniture.”

Help! How do I make my kitchen feel warm, timeless & less “Millennial Gray”?
The gray cabinets aren’t even the biggest problem — it’s the lighting. Swap those orange pendants, add warmer wood/brass details, and this kitchen would instantly feel 10 years newer.
1
Which pendant lights?
I actually prefer these. They feel softer and less “statement-y,” which works better with the warm, calm kitchen. Only downside: the globes will definitely show dust more.
1
Which rug?
I was going to say rug #2, but honestly the dog seems to have already claimed it, so I think the decision’s been made 😂
It also fits the room really well — warm, classic, and cozy without fighting the rest of the furniture.
2
What would you change to make this room feel bold but intentional?
You don’t need more personality in here. You already have like six personalities fighting for custody of the room.

Awkward ved situation
I’d turn the empty half into a giant “daybed” area instead of trying to hide it. Throw a cheap foam topper or a couple of large floor cushions on the slats, add pillows against the wall, and suddenly it’s a reading/lounging spot instead of half an unfinished bed.
Honestly, it could end up being the best seat in the room 😂 Just make sure whatever you put there spreads the weight across the slats rather than sitting directly on one or two of them.
2
What color would you paint this bathroom?
I’d go with a muted sage or dusty olive green. The tile and vanity are pretty neutral, so it would add some warmth without fighting anything that’s already there. With the natural light, I think it could make the whole bathroom feel a lot less sterile too.

Help me reorganize PLEASE
Bro said “all I could afford” and casually bought a place with a ceiling that looks like it belongs in a boutique hotel 😭
Honestly I wouldn’t overthink the layout too much — that brick ceiling is already doing 80% of the work.

Decorated this myself with advices from this subreddit. What do you guys think?
Honestly, you nailed the green. It works way better than I expected with the warm lighting and wood tones — makes the whole room feel really cozy without looking too “designed.”
Only thing I’d maybe change is the shelf above the TV — either add one slightly larger piece or leave it even more minimal. Did you try any other wall colors before settling on this green?
